We chat with Mark Domaille of Atlantic, a company that manufactures completely waterproof and shockproof iPod cases. While they aren't the prettiest things, we aren't sure that anything short of a bulldozer will be able to destroy your iPod while it's encased in one of these. The case also has built-in neoprene waterproof speakers. Available for $199 USD.

We met up with the Lensbaby crew, where we got a look at the new Lensbaby 3G. If you are a digital SLR enthusiast and haven't heard, the Lansbaby product is a selective focus SLR camera lens that allows you to take images with a focused sharp area that is surrounded by a stylistic blur. The Lensbaby 3G is available now for $270.

For anyone not wanting to get screwed by their local auto mechanics shop, DATZOO offers their FixDat personal diagnostics tool. You just hook the device up to your vehicle when you suspect something has gone awry, and it will run a complete diagnostic test on your car to tell you exactly what the deal is. You can then bring your car in for fixing with full knowledge of exactly what's wrong to make sure it gets fixed, and not broken further.

We talk to IOGEAR about their soon-to-be-released HDMI switcher. What's so special about it? It automatically senses which device is sending a video signal, and therefore automatically switches, and it's HDMI 1.3. Good enough for us!

While wandering the floor of CES last week, we came across a lonely comedian reading the newspaper next to a stack of joke machine gadgets. Upon further investigation, we find out it's Jackie "The Joke Man" Martling, the man who occupied the Jackie chair on the Howard Stern show for 15 years. Bert Desmond talks about a new consumer camera from Panasonic that records HD video. There are a number of very nice features on this camera including being a 3CCD camera. But one of the cooler features is that it does this recoding not onto a tape, but onto a SD card.

We recently found ourselves in Las Vegas for the ginormous annual Consumer Electronics Show. Check out the remote control dragonfly crusing the heights of the Sands Convention Center during CES 2007. This thing drew a crowd and put smiles on people's faces as it bobbed and weaved through the air.
