The lectures were given by David McMillin at the Association for Research and Enlightenment (A.R.E.) in Virginia Beach in December, 2002. Edgar Cayce is a prominent figure in the development of the holistic health movement in America. This video selection focuses on Psoriasis as described by Edgar Cayce in his psychic readings. Cayce typically associated psoriasis with excessive bowel permeability ("leaky gut syndrome"). Cayce stated that toxins which would normally be eliminated through the bowel were allowed to be absorbed into system due to a thinning of the walls of the small intestine. In an attempt to throw off the toxins, the skin (one of the four primary channels of elimination) became an avenue for eliminating the toxins. The immune system reacts to the toxins producing skin lesions. Cayce prescribed various treatments to heal the gut and provide symptomatic relief for persons with psoriasis.
