Review of District 9 Trailer of the movie: http://www.imdb.com/video/imdb/vi3896050201/ This movie has an interesting format. It is a fictional movie, yet it appears as if it's a documentary, through out the movie people are being interviewed as if it's a some journalist was doing a story about a real situation. The movie takes place in Johannesburg South Africa. Wikus Van Der Merwe is an agent for a private mercenary company called Multi National United (MNU). He gets promoted a lead position in the company. MNU is contracted by the government to regulate District 9, a section of the city designated for aliens who got stuck on Earth 20 years ago when they came to the planet, and their mother ship stopped working, the movie is not clear as to why that happened. Wikus gets assigned to serve eviction notices to the aliens in District 9. The reason for the eviction is the government is going to move them outside of the city of Johannesburg into a remote location. District 9 is like a straight up slum like you've never seen. The aliens are living off of cat food donated by MNU agents. There are human rights activists groups demonstrating outside of the district to treat the aliens more humanly, there are thugs from Nigeria profiting off the aliens by selling cans of cat food at off the wall prices, or as trade for their weapons, and the head of the of this group is like a king pen, and the whole area looks like it's been hit by a tornado or something, none of the houses are kept up. Wikus gets attacked by one of the aliens as he's serving the eviction notices, and as a result of the attack, he gets splashed with this black liquid he confiscates from one of the aliens that's exclusive to them, that changes his form, he starts turning into one of their species, or a hybrid. He now has to go on the run because when his company found out about him being infected with this virus, they were either going to kill him, or quarantine him permanently. Through out the movie you'll notice him rapidly loosing his Earth Human like features, and becoming more like the alien species. So what's the message of this movie? I can't say for sure, what I do believe is that it's propaganda, possibly a psyop to get people geared up mentally for what the Illuminati might be plotting, and who knows what that might be, probably a false flag operation involving a bioweapon being released in some major cities like Johannesburg, London, New York, and others. The parts you'll want to take notice of: 1. The alien's weaponry only works for them because it's biometrically designed only for them, and when Wikus starts changing his form he's able to use their weaponry. Their weaponry is superior to anything from Earth that's available to the general public. Do the governments of Earth have this type of weaponry? Something to think about. 2. The black liquid that Wikus, and Christian one of the alines from District 9 almost get killed for trying to get, and a small amount, what is this black liquid? You'll have to view the movie to find out. 3. Notice how the alines space craft just hovers over the city of Johannesburg, and does not move, until Christian is able to get it moving. 4. Notice the robot type machine that Wikus is walking in when he's getting hunted by one of the thugs from MNU, and what he's able to do with that machine. Do the governments have this type of techology in real life? What are the implications of it? 5. Take notice of how the MNU thugs treat the aliens (hint) 5. You click on to different sections of the website, there's an employment opportunities section, about us, past, present, future, etc, you have to select what you species you're a member of on certain pages of the site. This is it's last week showing in theaters in America, if it's still showing in Theaters where you are, I highly recommend seeing this movie, otherwise you'll have to wait to see it on dvd.
