Josiane Balasko sera toujours pour moi la Madame Musquin du film de Jean-Marie Poiré, Le père Noël est une ordure. La dernière fois qu’elle est venue à Montréal, je lui avais même demandé de souffler dans cette mythique trompette en plastique. Mais bien honnêtement, Josiane Balsako est aussi une bonne réalisatrice-scénariste. Sa quatrième réalisation, Gazon maudit, avait tout de même choqué et reçu un prix pour le “Meilleur scénario original ou adaptation”, lors de la cérémonie des Césars du cinéma en 1996. Elle nous revient avec Cliente un film portant sur une quinquagénaire se payant les services d’escortes mâles. Le scénario de ce film a été refusé d’être porté à l’écran par plusieurs boîtes de production pour la simple et bonne raison qu’il était trop choquant et impossible à financer. Pendant que les monsieurs peuvent s’envoyer toutes les “pretty woman” de la terre, l’industrie cinématographique française fronce le nez juste à l’idée de voir une femme d’âge mur payer pour baiser. Josiane Balasko a décidé de mettre l’histoire sous forme de roman, qui est devenue un “best sellers” jusqu’au jour où on lui a demandé d’adapter son livre… pour le cinéma. En écoutant Josiane Balasko raconter le parcours de sont film, l’effrontée et baveuse que je suis avait juste envie de faire un pied de nez à tous ces financiers et de dire “Gang de chickens”, ne savez vous pas que lorsque vous avez peur c’est bon signe ? Vous risquez de déranger, de marquer, de changer les perceptions. Bravo Balasko ! It was 38 years ago this week that Dan Cooper, better known as D.B. Cooper, hijacked a Boeing 727 bound for Sea Tac Airport in Seattle. Cooper eventually parachuted out of the plane along with $200,000 in ransom money. Some of the money has been found. But not D.B. Cooper. KUOW's Dave Beck spoke with Larry Carr the FBI agent who is committed to keeping the Cooper case in the public imagination.

Produced by Lawrence Weingarten. PLOT: Jonathan Kingsley (David Niven) is a teaching psychiatrist at the local university and is happily married to his wife, Alice (Lola Albright). The couple has two teenage daughters, and the trouble begins when the oldest daughter, Linda (Christina Ferrare), begins to take an adult interest in boys. Her misadventures corrupt her impressionable younger sister, and may cost her father his job. Kingsley tries to stop his daughter's lustful yearnings before the reputations of the university and his family become fodder for the local gossip mongers. INFO: The Impossible Years is a peppy normal parent/child clashes, all played out against the backdrop of the tumultuous (and often wacky) 1960s. The title track is sung by the family group, The Cowsills. The Cowsills were the inspiration for TV's The Partridge Family. Christina Ferrare, who plays the rebellious daughter, married carmaker John DeLorean in 1974. The pair divorced in 1985 after an FBI sting nabbed DeLorean for cocaine trafficking. (DeLorean was tried and acquitted, having successfully argued that he had been entrapped by the FBI.)
