This camera has features including a 10.0 Megapixel, 1/2.3-inch CCD, DIGIC III Image Processor, 3x optical zoom lens with a shift-type optical Image Stabilizer (IS) system and 2.5-inch LCD monitor with wide viewing angle. It uses new compact, high capacity Battery Pack NB-6L to shoot up to approx. 300 images (based on the CIPA standard when the LCD monitor is on), and SD memory cards, SDHC memory cards, MultiMediaCards, MMCplus cards and HC MMCplus cards for the recording media. Images are utilized with a direct print compatible printer, computer and TV via Hi-Speed USB.

Fresh out of high school around Atlanta, Georgia, we are preparing to study film and broadcast at college. This is our first serious attempt at a truly professional (in an indie way) film. The film (a psychological thriller) is shot on a Canon HV30 at 24p 1/48 with no external lens or adapters. Color correction, special effects, and editing was performed in Sony Vegas and Adobe After Effects. Friends and family are used as actors in the film (the trailer has a cast of 3). This is a no budget project meaning we spent less than $80 on the entire film which should be released within a month. We are looking for exposure, comments, criticisms and the likes. Feel free to download and distribute the trailer and film once it is up.

Bo Lorentzen (who is Danish and now resides in Southern California, my home state) was in Chicago for a trade show and we met at a local sushi joint for a mini-Vimeo Meetup. I was anticipating a nice dinner with an even nicer guy but I didn't anticipate what would happen only five minutes after we met! Bo, what you did means more to me than you can possibly know! This is my first aerial video in about 3.5 months. I spent the last several months trying to build, fly, and tweak a GWS Slow Stick only to have little success and end in frustration. I decided to go back to the old standy Super Cub, but this time upgrading it to a new brushless motor with a 3-cell Li-Po battery. After having problems with it initially, I finally figured out that the problems were with the radio transmitter that I was using with the Slow Stick and Brushless Super Cub. So, I bought a new Spektrum DX6i, and haven't turned back. I finally have things tweaked the way I like 'em, and I'm ready to start doing aerial photography / videography again. This video was taken over the new Betty Fairfax High School, which was opened in August 2007 in Laveen, Arizona. It was shot on July 20, 2008, with a Canon PowerShot SD40 mounted to a HobbyZone Super Cub RC airplane. I've tried to capture the nature the way it is, combined with my city, Brasov, as the winter is almost gone, and the nature is awakening up and it's having more and more strength. This video was filmed in 2 days, for about 1 hour and 30 minutes each day, on Tampa mountain, Brasov, April 2008 with a Sony HC19E. The few options that this camera has, I've tried to use them at maximum. Unfortunately, this quite old camera it has all the manual options on touch screen, so all the shots have to be shot from a tripod, so the video will not be shaky while you are touching the screen for focus, brightness or contrast. Most of the scenes were shot using a tripod. The tripod is not moving as smooth as I would like to, but its good enough. I am looking forward to get a Canon XH A1 HD, my dream camera, when I will have the necessary means. Some color correction added. All the work was done in EDIUS. All the critics, comments are very wellcomed. So, feel free to do it :) I want to learn from professionals, to learn from mistakes, to improve my shooting style, unfortunately my camera is not helping me so much. Enjoy it! Cast: Radu Balan

Quick garden shoot taken with the Canon FS100. The camcorder is nice and compact. It has a mic input which is good news. It also comes with a small remote control which is very handy. Override options are focus, exposure and shutter speed. There are also variable zoom speed and white balance options. The battery life is very good as well. All in all a pretty decent SD camcorder.
