The Butterfly Effect brings women together for noncompetitive ocean sport gatherings in coastal cities all over the world. The aim is to instill self-confidence and a love for the ocean in women of all skill levels. The Butterfly Effect also aims to work with the local community and offer free lessons/clinics for women and children. The Butterfly Effect began in Hawaii in 2007 by water women, Tatiana Howard and Juliana Shelef. Since then it Tatiana and/or Juliana have flown to organize the event in Brazil, New Zealand, France, Oregon, Germany, Tahiti, Dominican Republic and Australia for group surf sessions and clinics. Love the Sun or lovethesun.com helped make arrangements for our accommodations in Cabarete. We stayed in a beautiful place called the Hideaway and we later learned that it is one of the best secret surf spots along the coastline.

Our accommodations in Cabarete were beautiful. We found out that we were in favorite surfing spot.

We are on Day 3 of the Viscape video blog tour. We stayed in Cabarete, the kite surfing capital of the Caribbean. We share our plan for the day. We love Cabarete. It was awesome! Beautiful beach, great town! Loved it!

We met the cutest puppy on the beach in Cabarete. Is he s surfer? Is he a kite boarder? Was a competitor in the world championships? Find out in this video!

We did a driving tour of Seahorse Ranch, a gated exclusive community in Cabarete. Its got several vacation rentals and vacation homes.

It was another beautiful day in Cabarete and we met a surfer on the beach. Find out more about his love for the area and why he likes to come there for vacation.

We met a new friend on the beach in Cabarete. He was flipping over a coconut, playing football with it in the ocean. He was really cute. See how he turns tricks with his coconut!

There were peacocks running around on the property where we were staying. We thought they were cats because the sounds they make sound like cats in heat. But when we looked closer, they were peacocks. Listen to the sounds of the peacocks.

We were at the Masters of the Ocean in Cabarete which takes place once per year. The contestants must compete for surfing, wind surfing and kite surfing. Find out more about the contestants and who has the leg up!

We found another peacock running around the grounds of the Hideaway in Cabarete. I wanted to see if I could get the peacock to talk to us.
