JPH 120: Farewell To The First Podhole Girl
from ` JOE's PODHOLE December 11, 2007
JOE'S PODHOLE #120: It's the end of an era, in a way. Podhole Girl Vanessa was the first betitted voice on the show, even way back when we were sneaking the podcast in my cubicle at work. Since the posting of that very first episode, legions of boner-jockeys have carried a torch for the chipmunk-voiced nymph. It's been a long time coming, but this week marks Podhole Girl Vanessa's final appearance on the show. She's a one-of-a-kind, and we will all miss her like the Hispanics miss Selena. Join me in her incense-scented apartment as we eat pizza, drink beer, and look back on her brief but fruitful career in podcasting. I know it's depressing, but this is no reason to be downtrodden! Perk up, Podholers, because this show also brings a visit from Paul The Neighbor, who shares his thoughts on Donald Trump and his wacky dome. Not to be outdone, Podhole favorite Tim stops by to talk about God, strippers, and the Middle East! As if that weren't enough to whet your fannytite, Podhole Girl Cheryl and I present an interview with the killer new band, Jonny Lives! That's right rock-freaks, we once again invade the House Of Blues Chicago with phony cred, a microphone, and a flask of whiskey! I wasn't expecting to run into Jonny Lives, so I really didn't really have any questions prepared. You can kind of tell I'm pulling the interview out of my ass because I keep forgetting everyone's name. It's pretty funny. Anyway, pour some Shiner on the e-grave of PHG Vanessa, because she ain't coming back. Sniff, sniff, boo-hoo, but WE're coming back next week with more... so suck it up. Long live the Podhole! Here's the music for Joe's Podhole #120: "Tunnel'" by The Blame (partial) "Junkyard Rock" by Junkyard Prophet "Beware" by Shaun Kama And The Kings Of The Wild Frontier "The Hills Of Shiner Polka" by The Dujka Brothers "Miss Alissa" by The Eagles Of Death Metal "Get Steady" by Jonny Lives!
