This 'rebirth' cycle happens billions of times a day within our own cellular structure. As it is always happening. We are truly Stardust...we are made up of the stuff of the stars. oh i don't know why nor can I explain why my heart is grieving so...It is without hope at times that I just find myself weeping...for no apparent reason. Today I have put this project together & throughout the day I have been crying....over and over. This song and video has sparked the memories of friends and hero's of mine that have died. Silently, they have gone into that unknown country where no traveler returns. Today I have been reminded of memories of friends long since gone. These moments in time, I have considered to be long gone and forgotten. Yet here...today they've come back....like it was yesterday...& with them the tears of memories past....fuck it just hurts sometimes u know.....U know so many people come and go in and out of our lives yet...once in a while there are those that just know U...know you're thoughts...just like they've known u before....in a time and a life long ago!!! In the spirit of the holidays, and good cheer and all of that shit...Here is "Ron Paul Christmas". The song was conceived this morning...it's a one take slop fest....but hey...it's 'christmas' I wrote it directly after opening an email from some fucker who shined some hate towards me, cause I'm a worthless hippie, and, well, he don't like me...and lots of other real flattering stuff. As much as l'd like to say that the inspiration to write this came from that warm and fuzzy feeling that x-mas extends to all 'k-mart shoppers'...I wasn't as much divinely inspired as 'divinely pissed off'. It's the endless abuse and lies that are being aimed at Ron Paul and anyone who endorses Ron Paul and 'FREEDOM'...anyone who go's against the grain is being labeled a domestic terrorist. This is some serious shit going down right now, don't think twice. For the higher ups and their minions, they will continue to climb into the pit of lies and deceit to protect the good f*&^%& they've been giving us since the crusades. If they could have there way...the earth would be flat again....cause they said so! ...still...it is Christmas. I'll drop the 'bah-humbug' routine!!! download mpeg for ipod Life is a work in progress... In the past 18 months I have put out a endless amount of material. Sometimes I wonder if there's such a thing as putting to much out. With the decaying attention span of most websurfers being less then 4 seconds (probably less for u2b surfers) most viewers size up what they like or don't like about you in, as I've said, a matter of seconds. It's like "Yeah, I know that dued...you know the dued who did the video with the puppets...etc..." Nonetheless, the main force that 's driving me forward is...that I'm thinking that we are running out of time. "Racing against the clock"...as they say. With a long list of songs that are ready to go, I'm still writing everyday. Something new and pertinent always pushes it's way to the front of the list. Then there is a list of songs/videos that have been long forgotten that need to be played again...perhaps with fresh lyrics, or a different look visually. I've always found it fascinating when Dylan takes one of his oldies out of his hat and gives us a new perspective on it, with new lyrics, or a new arrangement. There is nothing that is done. Set in stone. There isn't a piece of music that can't be brought back from oblivion. Music isn't like watching the news. Music needs to be experienced again and again. It doesn't become "old news" or a 'rerun'. It's like my old books and records, I find my way back through them over and over...the collection grows but....there's still much to discover!!! Butterflies is a song that I did a while back. It was recorded live. It is just an idea that I didn't think much of until someone said that they liked it. The song is far from being done. I like the idea of making it into much more of a rhythmical song. But still, and more importantly, is what the song is saying lyrically. The song deals with that awful moment of the realization that the cataclysmic event is happening. Not necessarily 'Nuclear Armageddon', just living in a war zone. The horrible and sad truth is, this is what the people of Iraq do on a daily, if not hourly, basis. That is to imagine and plan, that this day may be their last, or the last day of their children's and families. Will I be at the store shopping? Will I be walking down some street, deep in thought? Will I be ready? Ready to meet the source? The "ron paul revolution blues" and "ron paul blues" blues tunes I put down recently have been making appearances in some pretty hip places. Can u dig it... I'm really psyched about it. That I have made any contributions at all to this has made the blessings fall like rain!!! Now I received more then 1 message from some cats who said that I need to take notice of this thing going down called a "Tea Party"...but, now because it was coming upon us so soon, December 16th, I thought to myself that it's probably to late to come up with a song for the occasion. Well, though this will probably still hold true....I did it anyways. I wrote this morning, recorded it this afternoon. As for the video...it is what it is..
