Today (Dec 5) at the McGill University field house in Montreal two-time world indoor champion Bruny Surin and Canadian 100m and 60m record holder added another record to his belt. He established a new Canadian Masters record in the 50m in a time of 6.15. This beats the past record set in 2007 of 6.20 for the 40-45 age class.

American track & field legend, Michael Johnson, believes Usain Bolt is capable of adding the 400-metre world record to his glowing list of accomplishments. Johnson, who is in the island for a BBC documentary with Bolt, believes the world record holder for the 100 and 200 metres "is good enough to run 42 seconds but ... he will have to develop his strength-and-speed endurance." The man who dominated the track and set world records in the 200 and 400 metres in the 90s and early 2000s, said Bolt, who ran 9.58 and 19.19 seconds for the 100 and 200 metres world records, has the potential to add the 400m to his name. And if he does, Johnson, who holds the mark at 43.18 seconds, said: "Nobody is ever going to hold the world record at 100, 200 and 400 metres again if he (Bolt) does it."
