How did you spend your Sunday night? I spent it recording an episode of The Beancast (and also watched some fine baseball....GO YANKEES!!!) Besides host, Bob Knorpp, I also shared the stage with: Edwart Boches, Chief Creative and Social Officer at Mullen Ben Kunz, Director of Strategic Planning at Mediaassociates James P. Othmer, Author of The Futurist and Adland Topics covered included: The future of direct marketing (and other short stories) Creativity in Social media (and other short stories) Media placement versus messaging impact More screens doesn't mean more ads Hulu today; gone tomorrow As I have been doing of late, I'm releasing episodes featuring yours truly on the Jaffe Juice - The New Marketing Podcast feed. Makes sense imo. Give it a listen...it was pretty tasty. Direct download here iTunes subscription here

Networked Beans sponsored by Heinz best drunk with wine from GaryVee

from Jaffe Juice on September 21, 2009
Duration: 0
I ve now settled in to a comfortable monthly recurring guest role on The Beancast , which is BY FAR the industry s marketing podcast with the best momentum right now. In this episode, I joined host Bob Knorpp with panelists Bill Green (MTLB), Kristi Faulkner (Womenkind) and Ad Age s Jonah Bloom to discuss: Google s announcement of Fast Flip and its entry into the ad naetwork biz, plus how a rogue ad took over the New York Times main page. Why women don t like social ads (another lame link-baiting study only focused on Facebook and Twitter) The UK s entry in product placement When the crowd steals the client (Unilever fires their agency in favor of CGC) The launch of GaryVee s Vaynermedia Direct download here (if you re subscribed to Jaffe Juice - the New Marketing Podcast, you ll get this automatically) iTunes subscription here .

Books, bucks, buzz and the bux on beancast 63

Books, bucks, buzz and the bux on beancast 63

from crayon, a new marketing company on July 27, 2009

Last night I joined George Parker, Angela Natividad (of MarketingVOX and AdRants) and host Bob Knorpp to record Episode 63 of the BeanCast, Bob's marketing podcast that features commentary on some of each week's biggest industry stories. Even though I'm fairly certain sleep deprivation is getting the best of me as I try to balance my day job and my writing schedule, I think my part in the show passed my podcast golden rule:Try to sound reasonably intelligent at least 50% of the time my mouth is open. I'd give myself a 52% passing grade, but George, Angela and Bob hit it out of the park. Well worth listening.Learn more about the episode, listen to BeanCast 63 online (embedded QT player), or if you like what you hear subscribe to BeanCast through iTunes. The show runs about an hour and we hit on the following topics: Amazon's acquisition of Zappos Walmart demanding ad dollars from suppliers Twitter's buzz buzz buzz Target as taste-maker McDonald's coffee ads growing Starbucks revenue The Plaidnation tour (w00t!) Check it out and give a shout.

Beans, Beancounters and Beancasts!

Beans, Beancounters and Beancasts!

from crayon, a new marketing company on May 04, 2009
Duration: 0
For a change, I was on another podcast as opposed to releasing an episode of my own one. This time it was the Beancast, which I'm happy to say is proof that podcasting is in fact still alive and kicking. In this episode, I share the microphone with host, Bob Knorpp, Thought Gadget's Ben Kunz and Make the Logo Bigger's Bill Green and we have a really stimulating conversation about media accountability, measurability, performance based pricing, TwitteRFP, Saving Chuck and much much more. You can find the episode here and subscribe to the show here (I strongly recommend it...I just did myself) Direct download here btw (which should automatically find its way to your ears via magical R.S.S.)
