Wrote this for all the old-school Blockles addicts out there. NOTE: OMGPOP was sued by The Tetris Company earlier this year because of the similarities between Blockles and Tetris. OMGPOP has since replaced the old Blockles with a different one, which quite frankly, stinks. RIP Blockles... ================================== It's a quarter past 10, been working all night, Thought I'd take a quick break, my friend showed me this site, Went to OMGPOP, I logged in, I was good to go. It's addicting like crack! Is what I've heard, But they're just games, I thought that's absurd, I'm only going to play 10 minutes at the most. Blockles is the game that's the most fun, It's like Tetris except with grenades and guns, If you clear your lines, you get items to dispatch. If you're in a jam use the blue items on yourself, If you want to crush your foes, then the red ones will help, It's a free-for-all, the last one alive wins the match. You can send 2 lines, then they'll send you 4, You can clear your screen, but they'll send 12 more, Gotta clear those lines before you go insane. You can scramble their screen about 2 or 3 times, You think you'd won, then they'll swap your lines, That's Blockles, and that's how you play the game, And now you're hooked, you've got to play again... We joined a match, just me and my friend, Items were on, 4 seconds left to begin, She was level 51, and I was just a newbie, I braced myself for the whoopin' I'd get, And even though I lost, I'll never ever forget, That night when I became a Blockles junkie. I sent 2 lines, then she sent me 4, I cleared my screen, but she sent 12 more, Had to clear those lines before I went insane. I scrambled her screen about 2 or 3 times, I thought I'd won, then she swapped my lines, That's Blockles, and that's how you play the game, Ugh! It's 5am, but I have to play again... Fast forward 3 weeks, I got no work done, But that's okay, I'm level 301, I got medals, and coins, and experience points galore. All the time I've wasted, OMGPOP tracks, 1,492 hours, 38 minutes, and 7 seconds to be exact, But I'm ranked number #1 on the leaderboards.
