The Monads
from The Lo-Fi Sessions March 31, 2008
I have a guilty pleasure. It's called Bluegrass. Something about it just gets me right about there and won't let go. Maybe it's the break neck speed that it's played or the singing fiddles or I just don't know. I really really dig it. The Monads arrived at City Museum just after I did. It was raining and really quite nasty out. Once inside they decided that they wanted to perform around the grand staircase that is at the heart of the museum. This particular staircase is indicative of the ascetic of the museum. Whimsical almost to the point of absurd. It's a good example of how the entire building has been made into a work of art. I haven't recorded a band in this series yet so this particular shoot had it's own challenges mostly in the audio department which I must say that Matt Giant the audio help on this project overcame splendidly. Oh, and I should mention that the Monads have a new CD out. I'm sure you could purchase one if you were so inclined (and asked nicely).

Smoking Is This Cool
from pjkproductions March 30, 2008
Smoking, this was originally taken for a guest spot for Bill Streeter's LoFiSTL. As I recall, he was filming a gig that was sponsored by Camel or Philip Morris Inc. and they stopped him filming due to copyright infringements, as you know Bill is Well Anti-smoking anyway and even though as a smoker myself, if I can stop at least One person from starting in the first place, I have done a good thing.

Trip to St. Louis pt 3
from Heath aka The Batman Geek June 04, 2007
Ok, this is the last part of our trip to St. Louis. Well except for those "guys" in the white costumes(they were not all white costumes)I will edit that later it is worth it trust me! Anyway, Glenna and I had a blast, a blast at Bill's. They were a lot of fun and made us feel welcome and right at home. It really was just a great time. I would like to thank Bill and his lovely wife Mitzi for allowing us into their home and their family and friends as well. They are all good people. And they are welcome here in my neck of the woods anytime. This one's a bit longer but the day was jam packed and a lot of fun! So enjoy! Trip to St. Louis Pt. 2!
from Heath aka The Batman Geek June 01, 2007
Meet the Streeter's!! Bill and his wife, Mitzi and their son Ainslie. This was the second half of the day, after we all were almost killed by Bill's and Glenna's driving.....if only my camera was on at the time...(sigh) This video here isn't high art or even the best video have done, but it's a glimpse into the day, a day of fun and laughing and just hanging out. So enjoy and if you want more information on the band you see, check out Bill's site and here is the link to the video he shot! Node 101 Weekend::St. Louis
from Vlog of a Faux Journalist September 17, 2006
What do vloggers do when they get together? They watch Ze Frank. One moment that moved me was KellyBelly as she watched her video being watched. That pain is not unfamiliar. _____POST NOTE: Testing Blip.tv's cool new interface. Let's see how direct cross-posting goes. Wasn't happy with the translation of html from Blip to Blogger. Blip's WYSIWYG text interface crashed when you tried to type in links. Hand-coding links in plain text, found that linebreaks didn't hold so the text came out the other side to Blogger as one big paragraph. Fingers crossed :) Nope. One big paragraph. Shucks.
