36,942 Views - White Suburban Liar$ (1992) The Rock Opera - Greenhouse Effect SuperNetCelebrities.Com - W.S.L "THE ROCK OPERA' is a 16 Song triumph of pure songwriting from Clark Haggans. Tons of Great songs among them the fabulous Misogynistia, Brandy, and "White Black Thang" !! Having lost the arms race with Hollywood for Grunge Superiority, Greenhouse Effect turned to their love for bands like the Tommy Era of the Who, Captain beyond, and David Bowie as well as the use of the taurian organization skills of Hagins to thoroughly saturate the world internet with the inevitableness of G.e. - Greenhouse Effect music functions as both rock's greatest song achievements as well as rock's most annoying obvious in-your-face pure skill......The relentlessness of the internet and things like Twitter and Jango Radio give G.e. a pure edge in cyberspace that other bands cannot even fathom of scratching. G.e. have the uncanny ability to depress and demoralize. To upset and frustrate their opponents - knowingly or otherwise,....Greenhouse Effect songs are always a triumph of songcraft and their live show video works as watershed break-through material and a uniqueness that can hardly be touched in a 2009 world of boring emo and monotonous hip hop and rap. The standard issue fare of opportunity bands seeking media is simply put on display by Greenhouse Effect's pure righteousness and one-ness in their songs from "Precarious" from the Phil Keegan on guitar era to "Ben is dead" and Clark Haggans.... The Rock Opera White Suburban Liar$ functions as the internet itunes vehicle of the new millineum and it's videos are its lay of trails many with G.e. and their bloggosphere always being the cyberspace ringmaster !!

724,945 Views - Los Angeles California band Greenhouse Effect feed off their success at Jango Radio Net Radio with their 2009 Mega-Hit Song "Brandy". With no Label Record deal, this band has come from absolutely nowhere and virtually revolutionized the internet not just with their great music - that sounds like no other band - but with their whole approach - the way that they handle the web has become a beacon to other bands, Labels, Attorneys, Managers, and Publicists EVERYWHERE !! "Brandy" works extremely well in the internet environment" says the band's Lead Singer and Guitarist Clark Hagins "We've had huge gigantic success in Europe,...I have to stay up long nights blogging,..it puts me in almost an alpha state because I don't really Know how to type for real,...I use only two fingers" says Hagins. Virtually over-night, Brandy and Jango radio working in conjuntion have turned the band into some of the web's most notable (and noticed) Rock superstars. "My passion is to make videos for great bands,..not just my own,..I work with some 50 bands and I promote them,..I get their itunes selling,..I get world fans to SEE THEM,...I make things happen - not just for G.e. - but for other artists as well,....I want EVERYONE to get an opportunity to be seen ,..not just me,...I never got my big break or chance,..all i ever got was magazines talking shit about me and writing crap out to destroy me,...I understand the politics and energy of rock n roll,..People with bold feelings and thoughts are important,....I support everyone left or right persuasion,..to me,..I have to keep it balanced and support Liberal rock music artists as well as conservative,....I don't spend my time trying to ruin people just because I happen to disagree with them,...if their music is great then thats what matters,..THATS ALL THAT MATTERS !!" BRANDY has been a stellar success for the band and Jango Radio and Blip Tv and Vod Pod are Hagins' means of attack ,..along with GoogleVideoCom,..and ofcourse tons and TONS OF BLOGGING !! "You have to blog videos heavily and write alotta' shit ,..otherwise people may lose interest,....I see my blogs transformed into other languages sometimes,..thats a thrill for me because I love it when G.e. gets played in other countries,...though the United States has been HUGE for G.e. " says Hagins... The explosive songwriter hook in Brandy as well as many other Greenhouse Effect Songs enables the band to do things that other bands simply can't. "The art of great songwriting has died,..its been killed by crap like Green Day, hip hop, and Rap music,..it sucks,....my music brings back the thrill of the Beatles, David Bowie, Iggy Pop, Rush, the Tubes, and the Kinks Ray Davies,..we are a classic rock band at heart and that is the key" says Hagins "We are pure songwriters,..studio rats,...hobbiests,...thats why we survive and thrive on the web,...not just with Brandy and the Black White Song ,..but with practically ALL of our material" says Hagins.... - G.e. indeed present a serious challenge to a music recording industry that has always refused them "We are like that band Anvil,..(Laughs) ,..We never made it,...but now, we are huge on the web,....We hold alot of crap music and Rap music hostage,.." says Hagins "We are revolutionarys"

86,392 Views - Youtube / Revver / GoogleVideoCom Video for "22nd Street" ( 1991 ) by Los Angeles ( USA ) GREENHOUSE EFFECT Music and Clark Hagins. The Greenhouse Effect Mixtape Volume 1 Dropped for the band in 2008 and Launched G.e. to massive Huge Video Success all over the World on the internet. "Cyberspace is where we live" says Clark Hagins in August 2008 "We're the biggest band in the world and we take pride in our ability to be well known, received, and highly downloaded by fans, Jango Radio is my next 'mission' for G.e. ,..I'm launching our Jango in january 2009,..we hope to have over one million plays there by the summer". GREENHOUSE EFFECT EXPLODED in 2007 and 2008 with "Brandy", which is by far one of the most well known songs in the world on the web as Hagins uses a new website called "Twitter" to promote his music with a feature that he calls "Micro-blogging"...."I am a ranter and raver,..I am full of banter" says Hagins "My blogs are some of the most well known and well read all over the planet,....I want my music to be just as successful and well known as my blogs,...I am NOT AFRAID ,..to say ANYTHING,...this is a high stakes business and I have to 'stand out' and be among the best,...Sometimes I need to say and write controversial things,..and controversial songs too (Laughs),.....I am the guy who wrote tracks like "Ben is dead" which is HUGE in Sweden and Finland,....My songs are always like a "Shock-Jock" or "Shock-Rock",...I was like a Dr. Michael Savage,..but 20 years 'BEFORE' HIM with BEN IS DEAD,.....AND I have other great songs that make fun of all kinds of assholes,...I take no prisoners !!" I take Great pride in 'Ben is Dead" it is just such a pure, honest, brazen, hateful, sincere tune,...I LOVE IT ,....IT AND "Waiting for your love to fail!" ,..those two are among my favorites,...with "Waiting",..I just wrote a song that emptied out ALL of my inner thoughts and emotions regarding a woman who I quite fancied who got married to someone other than me,...I trully felt that with that song, I captured the pure white suburban hatred that I felt inside,.....it was just like artistic magic !! "The White Black Song" is simply just my masterpiece because it comes on like a friendly gay Bruce Springsteen or John Mellancamp song,..but it isn't,..it is a quite evil , menacing song indeed ,..that I wrote to confuse people and especially liberal Americans,..but in the end,..it really does have a beautiful, special, and gifted message,...its a great cheesey pop song,...its wonderful,...and "Brandy" means alot to much of the world,...its just a classic,....I sorta wrote it about my surfer nephew Hagan Kelley,...its very sad,..but very melodic,...it makes listeners cry,...its magical,..its a gift !!!!"

738,932 Views - GoogleVideo.Com / Youtube Video for Greenhouse Effect Songs. "Star" was recorded at Accessive Light and Sound Studio in Harbor City California with Recording engineer Andy Houston in January 1991. Like "Coke Snorting" before it , from 1990 with former Guitarist Phil Keegan (Dr. Phil), "Star" is a long drawn out track that is Hagins' Drumming oriented. The whole song developes off the fat kick and snair work as recorded in the studio. Hagins then adds some crunchy guitar riffs that are totally break-through sound ideas for this time era in rock where heavy metal of the Sunset Strip in Hollywood still ruled the day. A little bit influenced by Metallica but also by Rush as well as Arthur Lee and Love plus David Bowie and other "60's" to 80's music. This song was one of the handful of 'early tracks' written down in the basement of 251 in Redondo Beach CA in about September/ October 1990, just after the band and Keegan mutually parted ways. All in all, it was a pop break through "Grunge" idea of high caliber! "Star was a riff that I think I stole from Danzig or some other 80's or 70's punk or metal band" says Clark Hagins "When I first played the guitar part to Carmody (Ted), he was like,..'thats the Clash or like I donno,..maybe Cheaptrick !!" But indeed, this great guitar run is yet another G.e. original as no band or no one has come forward to refute it. "It definitely has a breakdown in it that is obviously similar to Arthur Lee's "Alone again or" says Hagins "Its kinda Spanish flamenco like - NOT" ( Laughs) With the early beginnings of 'Going Legit' Greenhouse Effect set out to make their usual demanding 'Complicated' music with alot of drum activity and over-dubbed guitars and vocals - all mixed with ambiance and psychedelia but straight from a garage - only this time, all the ideas seemed to be functioning at a super high new watershed level - above other bands . "We always wanted to make our music very interesting,..when I played Ted the early idea for "Hey Negrita" he was like - "Oh ,..thats a ripp off of "Like a hurricane' by Neil Young or something off "Everybody knows this is nowhere" or "After the Gold Rush",...."Ofcourse I also wanted to mix in my demented politics" says Hagins. "Star allowed me to do that,..where I could take the place of some dude who was just ragging on EVERYTHING and putting people down,..even being a complete fool and making fun of Rush's Geddy Lee!" Star really has a "South Bay" feel to it (Torrance and Redondo Beach) and it introduces a 'punk rock' edgy vibe to G.e. that has also humor that was missing, lacking in the days of the Keegan era G.e. "Ben is Dead" would be another interesting song from Going Legit where Hagins mixes some Rory Gallagher type guitar with a rip off on Ted Nugent and the Ambuoy Dukes "Journey to the center of your mind" that really works. "We would rework alot of used ideas but we would spin them where you could barely tell" says Hagins.... It was this period, where G.e. had hooked up with two new drummers in first Martin Silva of San Pedro - and then later , Punker Greg Tarpley - and G.e. developed a 'new' quite odd and revolutionary "three piece band" presentation where Clark Hagins was upfront, banging on power chords, emmiting feedback, and hollering his vocals into the microphone with a sudden urgent new reverbed anger. The way that the band dressed was flannels and t-shirts and jeans, pretty much keeping the same G.e. traditions from the Phil Keegan days intact. G.e. , as usual, attracted much Label attention, with "Going Legit" as they had with Keegan before,...and the song "Dead End Street" with it's 'female like sounding lead vocals' grabbed the ear of several A "What is cool is I really AM an old guy now,...I'm 44 years old and people rarely try to diss me anymore,...They shake my hand and they are like "We've seen it now,..dude, you were,..no ,..you "Are' the real deal,bro'...you were the shit,..just exactly as You always said,.... "I would give ANYTHING now ,..just to play music and even be an opening act,...although trully, G.e. is no opening act,...We were there so long ago with all those great songs and ideas that we had,...we had big HUGE ideas ,..for hit singles,..but also for long concept albums like the who Tommy and Quadrophenia,...I feel like I will never get a chance to record them now,...and thats a damn shame,... From 1992 to about 2003, I did very little activity that concerned music ,..when I discovered how to make my song videos ,..it really brought that G.e. magic BACK !!,...AND it didn't take too long, by 2005, we were back on top,...we were the kings again !!"
