Retailers hope for hordes of shoppers on Black Friday, the traditional day of buying fever after Thanksgiving. In this hour, we focus on what appeals to tweens and teens and why and how they buy.

The Cacadu District nThe Cacadu District, which was formerly the Western district, covers the rural western areas of the province. This district is the largest of the districts and has an area of 58, 242 square kilometers. The coastal parts of the district have temperate winter rainfall, with around 500 -700 mm of rain per year. The Tsitsikamma and Baviaans parks lie in the west of the district close to the Western Cape. The interior of the Cacadu District is mainly dry Karoo and grasslands comprised of commercial farms. In spite of the barren interior, the Sundays and Fish Rivers maintain large irrigated farming and these rivers are supplied by water from the Orange River. The only eco-system not found in the Cacadu District is the true desert. The district is one of the finest game viewing areas in South Africa. It is the place where major cultures in South Africa came into contact. nnGrahamstown is home to Rhodes University and the National Arts Festival. Cacadu is home to the Addo Elephant Park. The district has a marine protected area stretching 120 000ha across the Indian Ocean, and acts as a southern extension of the Addo elephant Park, and so Cacadu is home to the world´s first big seven game reserve. Cacadu is also home to the world´s highest commercial bungy jump, the first tree top canopy tour in South Africa, the highest narrow gauge bridge in the world. nnCacadu has more 363, 585 people living there, which is the second smallest population of the districts. There are only 6 people living in the rural district per square kilometer, as the people living on the coast and more inland are often 100´s of kilometers apart. This district has many coloureds living there, and Africans in the majority, and a higher number of whites living there than in other districts. The main language in the towns is Afrikaans. nnThe Cacadu district is ranked as the third largest economy of all the districts. Agriculture dominates the districts economy, and there is also small-stock farming in the interior. Cacadu is the centre of the wool and mohair industry in the Eastern Cape. Cattle and dairy farming is strong around Grahamstown, Cookhouse, Alexandria and Humansdorp. There is citrus farming from the Sundays and Fish Rivers. From St. Francis there is a small fishing industry centered on rock lobster. Tourism is well developed in Cacadu and there is a group of tourism routes established in the district. Popular tourism attractions include Jeffrey´s Bay and Port Alfred.

Ko Phi Phi Leh (or Ko Phi Phi Ley) is an island of the Phi Phi archipelago, in the Andaman Sea. It belongs to the Krabi province of Thailand. Ko Phi Phi Leh is the second largest island of the archipelago, the largest one being Ko Phi Phi Don. The island consists of a ring of steep limestone hills surrounding a shallow bay, the Mahya Bay. Controversy arose during the making of the film The Beach due to 20th Century Fox bulldozing and rescaping of the natural beach setting of Ko Phi Phi Leh to make it more paradise-like. The production altered some sand dunes and cleared some coconut trees and grass to widen the beach. Fox set aside a fund to reconstruct and return the beach to its natural state, however lawsuits were filed as many believed the damage to the ecosystem is permanent and restoration attempts failed. The lawsuits dragged on for years. In 2006, Thailand's Supreme Court upheld an appeal court ruling that the filming had harmed the environment and ordered that damage assessments be made. Defendants in the case included 20th Century Fox and some Thai government officials. Prior to 2004 the island had avoided development. However, it is now a part of Phi Phi National Park and has since begun to see the beginnings of development and some clearing of natural plant life. There are current plans to build bungalows on the island and as of 2004 an entry-fee of 40 Baht has been charged; as of February 2007 the charge for private visitors has been raised to Bt200 per person. There are now permanent basic facilities on the island - toilets, a snack bar and camping sites.

Hanalei Bay is the largest bay on the North Shore of Kaua'i in Hawai'i. The town of Hanalei is at the mid-point of the bay. Hanalei Bay consists of nearly two miles of beach, surrounded by the beautiful mountains behind them. In the summer, the bay is like glass, offering excellent moorage for sailboats, stand up paddle boarding and swimming. The Princeville community overlooks from the northeast entrance to the bay. During the winter the surf become large and is a favorite surf location. Japanese author Haruki Murakami wrote a short story entitled Hanalei Bay set in the area. The story is included in the collection Blind Willow, Sleeping Woman.
