Sorry ©words and music by Doug payne 2008. Our leaders say there is no doubt. We must apologise. Others can not spit it out. They choke on their lies. Remember what your scripture teacher taught ya. He didnt speak the truth about the slaughter. Remeber when they took young Jill away. She's waiting still to hear those words today. A friend of mine says, why do you worry? I feel for her, oh so very sorry. Our leader says we have no choice. We must apologise. the other fella lost his voice. choking on those lies. Remember when our neighbour's baby died I can't believe how long the mother cried. I do not even know this white girls name and I hope I never know her kind of pain. A friend of mine says, why do you worry? I feel for her, oh so very sorry.©

The old Bush dance situation we all know about. The Dance © words and music by Doug Payne 2008 © Thankyou for being a lady, willing to take a chance, happy to be my baby, for a minute as we dance. You were sitting with another tall handsome man. I'm sure he was your lover. You would marry him. That was the plan. But here I am, up front from the start, doing everything I can, to follow my heart. As we danced across the room I could see he could not rest I knew that very soon he'd be poking me in the chest. I only had a second in my arms the girl of my dreams. But you were the same I recon. It was love at first site it seems. Yes here I am, up front from the start, doing everything I can, to follow my heart. When he punched me on the chin put me down and broke my head, you can and took me in to your heart and to your bed. Yes I know that I came second in the fight for the girl of my dreams, but loosing became a weapon in the struggle for love it seems. Yes it pays to be bold, up front from the start, never waiting to be told, to follow your heart....end ©

Maybe I'm crazy for trying to do justice to this song, but I love the chalenge. And now, the end is near; And so I face the final curtain. My friend, Ill say it clear, Ill state my case, of which Im certain. Ive lived a life thats full. Ive traveled each and evry highway; And more, much more than this, I did it my way. Regrets, Ive had a few; But then again, too few to mention. I did what I had to do And saw it through without exemption. I planned each charted course; Each careful step along the byway, But more, much more than this, I did it my way. Yes, there were times, Im sure you knew When I bit off more than I could chew. But through it all, when there was doubt, I ate it up and spit it out. I faced it all and I stood tall; And did it my way. Ive loved, Ive laughed and cried. Ive had my fill; my share of losing. And now, as tears subside, I find it all so amusing. To think I did all that; And may I say - not in a shy way, No, oh no not me, I did it my way. For what is a man, what has he got? If not himself, then he has naught. To say the things he truly feels; And not the words of one who kneels. The record shows I took the blows - And did it my way!

This a venture between Rick Bios36, Doug Payne and Australia's snowy mountains Ref C D G You wont find it on a city street. G D G Its no where else I know. C D G Its on the face of the creatures ya meet, C D G in the hearts of the people from the snow. Repeat last two lines for harp I could write about the snow..bunnies and the beer, sing songs we all know, tell funnies we still hear. But the thing that made it great, I see it in the eyes Of the men who call me mate and the girls who share their lives. Ref The Snowy men of old, like Freddie Rhedechney, They never felt the cold. He wore thongs the day he met me. Spoke English rough and funny. He would never let you down. He gave away his money to the Gamblers in town. Ref Youve made a few mistakes and youve seen a lot a strife, But you know what it take to get on with your life. Youve seen the dams spill, now youve watched the go dry. It strengthened your will and the harder you try. Ref/
