Slovakia's Filip Polc took top honors in the Red Bull Desafio no Morro, an unprecedented mountain bike downhill competition inside a favela (slum) in Rio de Janeiro. Polc's best time of 1:39.91 down the 760 meters of the favela's alleys and staircases was enough to edge Brazilian Markolf Berchtold by over 1.5s. Britain's Dan Atherton completed the podium with a top mark of 1:42.29. Dan's brother Gee Atherton entered the competition in Brazil as the clear favorite, and confirmed those expectations by topping the qualifying session on Saturday. This video shows examples of past Production Services projects.

The Midpeninsula Community Media Center offers a high quality Television production facility to anyone living or working in its service area of Atherton, East Palo Alto, Menlo Park, Palo Alto and Stanford. At a very low cost (subsidized by local Cable subscriber fees) you can get your message produced and cable-cast.This video shows some of the many productions done by volunteer producers and crew.

The Midpeninsula Community Media Center is a public benefit, non-profit resource serving Atherton, East Palo Alto, Menlo Park, Palo Alto and Stanford areas. We operate the five public/education/government access cable channels in that service area.Our production facilities include a fully equipped television studio and remote production facilities. Anyone living or working in the service area can, after training, produce their own programming or volunteer to crew on a production. Our five channels stream on the Internet, giving us a global reach. This is a short promo describing the Media Center and its available facilities.

On this show, we highlight the efforts of local community members who have made significant contributions to their community and yet are unsung Local Heroes.
