Ubisoft s Italian successor to 2007 s original has sold 1.6 million copies worldwide, which is 32% higher than the IP s first outing two years ago. As a side note, the original Assassin s Creed holds the record for fastest selling new IP in the US. Comparatively, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 sold 1.78 million units its first week in the UK.
