Stallone and Arnie Have an 'Incredible Love'
from Cinematical June 23, 2008
Filed under: Action, Romance, Casting It may not be Brutal Deluxe, but are you ready for Rambo and Terminator, Bollywood style? Okay, they're not headlining a Bollywood feature together, but The Sunday Times reports that Sylvester Stallone is starring with Ashkay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor in a new Hollywood-centric Bollywood film called Incredible Love, one that has Arnold Schwarzenegger popping up in a part. The story focuses on "an Indian stuntman who takes Hollywood by storm but cannot find true love there." Oh, the woes of stuntdom. It's a lonely life. Arnie is said to "feature in the production," which I imagine will be a cameo in between his busy political life -- do some politicking here, smack down a couple of baddies there... And, this shouldn't be too difficult, since the Bollywood film is going to be shot at Universal Studios in Hollywood. So, it's not some big duo flick, but at the very least, we've got both of them in a stunt-themed movie. I can only hope this won't just be a boring cameo for Arnie, and that the pair can tap into their '80s muscle-men mentality together and show the stuntman some real moves. Arnold: From the sublime to the ridiculous
from Crooks and Liars April 20, 2008
Download | Play Download | Play Props to the Governator for just coming right out and saying that the real reason Republicans deny Global Climate Change so hotly is that they re beholden to big business. Kilmeade: But here’s the thing, Governor: A lot of people, a lot of Republicans in particular don’t believe there is Global Warming, there is Climate Change. They don’t believe the green technology and we talk to a lot of them on an every day basis. You’re a Republican, what do you know that they don’t? Schwarzenegger: Well, I think they know the reality. I think they’re just trying to protect business. And in the end, they’re hurting business. Because we’ve proven in California that you can do both, that you can protect the environment and protect business. Even though in 2003, when I ran and I said that, people didn’t believe it but then we started building the ‘Hydrogen Highway’ and passed the Green Building Initiative and the Million Solar Roof Initiative and the Ocean Action Plan and AB32 to make a commitment to roll back our greenhouse gas emissions and the low carbon fuel standards, all of those things that got world recognition, I think people realize now, ‘wait, this does not hurt our economy, this is actually a big plus because we’re creating jobs through green, clean technology. This being Fox though, they had to end a rather lengthy interview on a more cheerful note, with Fox Brian Kilmeade looking for some body-building tips. Arnold called him without a doubt the most muscular television host, whereupon Kilmeade positively swooned.

Arnold Schwarzenegger Makes Anderson Cooper Blush Like A Little Girly Man [The Sweetest Thing]
from Gawker February 21, 2008
When Anderson Cooper is not working out like a madman, or asking whether steroids will shrivel his "friend's" testicles, he loves to tell everyone this story about how Arnold Schwarzenegger once admired the CNN diva's biceps. He loves this story so much he gets all giggly whenever anyone brings it up, but here's the thing: other people at CNN tried to confirm the story after Cooper told it on Conan O'Brien's show and they couldn't make heads or tails of it. Which begs the question, what other sorts of imaginary conversations is Cooper having with Arnold? Do they involve spotting? Bench presses? The phrase "girly man?" Perhaps it doesn't really matter, as long as the chats continue to make the Coop as adorably proud and bashful as this one:

Come To Whammy
from Vimeo / mmeiser's subscription videos February 09, 2008
Come To Whammy from Mike Fischer on Vimeo. "On one Press Your Luck episode in 1984, a self-described unemployed ice cream truck driver named Michael Larson made it onto the show. Watching the show at home, and with the use of stop-motion on a VCR, Larson discovered that the presumed random patterns of the game board were not random, and was able to memorize the sequences to help him stop the board where and when he wanted. On the single game in which he appeared, an initially tentative Larson spun a Whammy on his very first turn, but then played 45 consecutive times without hitting a second Whammy. He earned a total of $110,237 in cash and prizes, a record for a single appearance on a daytime network game show up to that time. Although CBS investigated Larson, they determined that figuring out the patterns was not cheating, and let him keep all his winnings. The number of light patterns was increased to make it impossible for a player to ever repeat what Larson did." Cast: Mike Fischer
