January 8-10 2008 Ecovillage? Otomatea has been around for around 17 years, around 30 people live here, the land was quite corroded in the beginning, over those years they restored and planted more than 1000 trees. Community dinners is once a week. It?s a calm and beautiful area where everybody works together to keep it maintained. Although the cows were very cooperative, my ode to compost didn?t work out the way I would have liked. By the way, you can Wwoof at Otamatea. www.otamatea.org.nz artist: Forward Dub // title: Cornerstone Roots // album: Green Rome 004 Hope (LOOP Recordings)

Cardiff - A Changing City from YouTube :: Tag // newyork on May 15, 2008 3 views
At least Cardiff keeps its old buildings! In Hamilton, Ontario they destroy the buildings, they collapse from neglect, or they mysteriously go up in flames. If you research the architectural history of Hamilton, it's a crying shame. Toronto and New York manage to incorporate new developments in with the older styles, but in Hamilton-- they just get eliminated (or made into parking lots or brown fields). Cheer-Up people of Cardiff; At least the old buildings are still there! Author: WelshMeic Keywords: Cardiff Caerdydd Wales Cymru Cymry Architecture Nostalgia Hiraeth Old Hen Hyned Added: May 15, 2008

WICHTIG: Internet Explorer 8, Standards & Kompatibilität from msdn Austria on May 15, 2008 0 views
Meuser: Woman rides, the horse goes on foot / Kunsthalle Düsseldorf / Interview with artistic director Ulrike Groos from VernissageTV art tv on May 15, 2008 9 views
The Woman Rides and the Horse Goes on Foot) at Kunsthalle Düsseldorf presents more than 50 large-format sculptures, wall objects and drawings from the late 1970s to the present day, which Meuser arranges in relation to the architecture of the Kunsthalle Düsseldorf. Meuser — the name stands for iron and steel. But Meuser is also the pseudonym of the sculptor who turns this massive material into light, humorous, poetic works of art. From 1968 — 1975 Meuser studied at the Düsseldorf Academy of Art under Joseph Beuys and Erwin Heerich; he was a contemporary of Imi Knoebel, Martin Kippenberger, and Palermo, and took part in documenta IX. Since 1992, he has held a professorship at the State Academy of the Visual Arts in Karlsruhe, Germany. Our correspondent Thom de Bock attended the media preview and spoke with the director Dr. Ulrike Groos of the Kunsthalle Düsseldorf. The show Meuser is on display from April 10 until July 20, 2008. Brian Conley: Decipherment of Linear X / Pierogi Leipzig / Interview with Brian Conley from VernissageTV art tv on May 13, 2008 12 views
For the spring Rundgang (walkabout) of the SpinnereiGalleries Pierogi Leipzig presents Bahamian artist Tavares Strachan and Brian Conley. We had a closer look at the project of conceptual artist Brian Conley. Brian Conley presents the body of work Decipherment of Linear X . This project began ten years ago when he discovered several dozen wooden sticks which were covered with elaborate incisions. The calligraphic qualities of the marks resembled one of the oldest known written languages - but were in fact made by beetles. Because of this similarity, Brian Conley decided to conduct a thought experiment. In this video he tells us more about it. White House Project - Djordje Joksimovic - TV Metropolis from YouTube :: Tag // ComputerGraphics on May 12, 2008 6 views
WHITE HOUSE PROJECT The WHP project brings photography, architecture and design into a distinctive fusion of analytical socio-geographical mapping of the city, focusing on details and aesthetics of the image making - setting the trend of the city. On a deeper note the project celebrates design as an experience and architecture, in a set environment, as an interactive part of everyday life. It creates a graphical representation between two destinations in a single image. Moreover, working with digital photography and computer graphics the author works on capturing the essence of the city in its many forms, changing hues of the weather at different times of the day. Each of these 10 themes in project, „Absence", „Total War I" , „Olympic landscape", „Total war II", „Take a breath", „Was I bored"?, „Camping out", „More formal", „Constant playground", and „Untitled public memory" capture different time interval of the city's colourful life span with no set criteria for intervention. Đorđe Joksimović defines a new level of visual expression through the concept itself. The WHP project was primarily conducted in 2003 to inspire people to find out about the city they live in... but not just the city, to find out more about themselves. Author: baracudacasa Tags: Casablanca Art Déco architecture décoration maroc 1920 anfa france époque colonial artiste musée roche noir belvedere Posted: 11 May 2008 Rating: 5.0 Votes: 1
