BUSH AT HIS WORST: HITLER & APPEASEMENT
from YouTube :: Videos by 1962verbodivino May 21, 2008
"A little learning is a dangerous thing," wrote Alexander Pope. Daily, our 43rd president testifies to Pope's point. Addressing the Knesset on the 60th anniversary of Israel's birth, Bush said those who say we should negotiate with Iran or Hamas are like the fools who said we should negotiate with Adolf Hitler. "As Nazi tanks crossed into Poland in 1939, an American senator declared, 'Lord, if only I could have talked to Hitler, all of this might have been avoided.' We have an obligation to call this what it is -- the false comfort of appeasement. ..." Appeasement is the name given to what Neville Chamberlain did at Munich in September 1938. Rather than fight Germany in another great war -- to keep 3.5 million Germans under a Czech rule they despised -- he agreed to their peaceful transfer to German rule. With these Germans went the lands their ancestors had lived upon for centuries, German Bohemia, or the Sudetenland. Chamberlain's negotiated deal with Hitler averted a European war -- at the expense of the Czech nation. That was appeasement. Jackie Mason '08Vlog 33 It's Not Always About You Obama
from Top Favorites May 19, 2008
Bush made a wonderful speech at the Knesset last week. A bold statement of solidarity with the Israelis. Referring to a Senator from over 60 years ago, Barack Obama decided it was about him. Barack Obama didn't invent appeasement. How egotistical, or paranoid could he be to think that speech was about him? If he thought it was about him, why would he even mention it? Why would he want to be known as an appeaser? It would've bean much smarter for him to keep his mouth shut. Then again, it's all about him.

Obama confronts Bush and McCain
from Where's the Outrage? May 16, 2008
Straight and to the point. Barack Obama directly responded to President Bush s appeasement comment and then turned to John McCain. Barack Obama correctly stated that John McCain has offered to difference between himself and George Bush on foreign policy. Here are Barack s remarks in South Dakota: From WaPo - If George Bush and John McCain want to have a debate about protecting America, that is a debate I will have anytime, any place, he said to a cheering crowd. George Bush and John McCain have a lot to answer for. Obama then launched into list of grievances, including a war fought on the premise of uprooting weapons of mass destruction that were never found, the failure to catch Osama Bin Laden and turning Iran into the greatest beneficiary of the Iraq war. That s the Bush-McCain record on protecting this country, Obama said. Those are the failed policies that John McCain wants to double down on. The senator s comments came in response to President Bush s speech before the Israeli Knesset yesterday, in which he likened a willingness to meet with terrorists and radicals to appeasement of the Nazis. That s exactly the kind of appalling attack that s divided our country and alienates us from the world, Obama said. And that s exactly why we need change. Finally, there are a group of Democrats who believe that Barack Obama hasn t shown enough passion on the campaign trail. Well, I thought he showed plenty of passion in this speech.

MCCAIN & BUSH ATTACK OBAMA: DIALOGUE IS DELUSIONAL
from YouTube :: Videos by 1962verbodivino May 16, 2008
BUSH & MCCAIN are so much alike it's hard to tell them apart. No wonder the experts say electing McCain is a THIRD Bush term in the White House.. Now Bush & McCain attack/smear Obama by claiming delusional the notion of having a dialogue with America's enemies... The Bush-McCain War in Iraq failed to find any Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD-the stated reason for invading Iraq)and we are still fighting a war in a country that has NO military. Maybe we ought to give Obama's Delusional Dialogue a chance. After all, Bush-McCain has had 5 years of a Trillion Dollar War and America is no safer than before, in fact, some say we are even more vulnerable than before and why has America, the greatest SuperPower in the history of Mankind, been unable to find and bring Osama Bin Laden to justice? Give Obama's "Delusional Dialogues" with friend and foe a chance! John McCain recently had a vision in which 2013 will be the magic year in which we "win" the war in Iraq. John,your experience should tell you that what you haven't accomplished in the past five years you won't be able to accomplish in the next four. Sorry, but you gotta make room for a new approach to foreign policy, a change that shows America willing to LISTEN to the concerns of its enemies, to Respect each other's differences, and rally around the common interests that manifest themselves through dialogue. That's the new Diplomacy that will make not only the USA a safer place to live, but the whole world...
