Good evening to you and welcome to your Tuesday installment of The Laptop Sessions. Today I bring you a first for my own performances, but not the first time we have covered this band. Yep, it's time to go Otis, Lucky, Lefty, Nelson, and Charlie T. Jr Wilbury, better known as the Traveling Wilburys, and better still known as George Harrison, Roy Orbison, Jeff Lynne, Tom Petty, and Bob Dylan. Today's song was sung by Roy Orbison on the original album "Traveling Wilburys Vol. 1". This album is one of my all time favorites. Jim is responsible for introducing me with the track "Inside Out" (a song I hope to do for the sessions at a later date as well). This performance is a hard one to live up too. Orbison has such a great voice, and this supergroup is easily one of the best ever. I played this one well, but the last note that I sung I had to cut short, as you will hear my voice start to crackle a bit. In another take that I decided not to use, my voice cracked a bit on the first chorus and thought "well, can't have that!". We also get to play this song live as well, but we enjoy playing "Handle with Care" so much more. And to think that song could've been a B-side... A new story I wanna make. Gabriella live in California with her family, but her mom is lying at a hospital with cancer and the doctors can't do anything about it. Gabriella's dad is a doctor but he can't do anything either, after her moms dead they move to Albuquuerque (New Mexico), 'Cause they needed doctors at the hospital, and Gabriella's dad said yes to move away. Gabriella doesn't want to move away because she want to visit her moms grave everyday, but she can't if they move. Her father doesn't care about that and they move. Gabriella always sit in her room and writes poems and listens to sad music. She doesn't talk to anybody that often, 'cause she just want her mother back.
