FreeForm AE Metal Man: Part 3 of 3 #3

FreeForm AE Metal Man: Part 3 of 3 #3

from recent posts - blip.tv (beta) on December 01, 2009
Duration: 308
Author: Chris Heuer The final tutorial of the series, again, goes one step further. This time we will create two custom displacement maps and apply them to two instances of FreeForm AE. This will give us the ability to give a different surface treatment to each of the FreeForm layers. The final result will look like brushed metal sheets, which have a duller finish, held together by shiny, almost chrome like, welds (which have beautiful 3D relief). Then we?ll do a two stage text punch-in effect using AE?s masks to create two complimentary gradient mattes. Sound confusing? It?s all really simple.
