An Oklahoma City man is among the first in the nation to undergo a new, breakthrough treatment for atrial fibrillation, the most common of abnormal heart rhythms. Atrial fibrillation affects more than two million people in this country. It can impact their ability to function and can lead to potentially deadly blood clots. Now, though, there is new hope thanks to a procedure pioneered by specialists at the OU Medical Center and its Cardiac Arrhythmia Research Institute. Deborah Lockwood, MD.
