PLEASE READ: First of all, this is NOT a place to voice your opinions on the matter of abortion. Any comment about it and not about my video will be removed. It is distasteful to start arguments on my video! Thank you. Now to the real description: Sorry that I didn't start the song/actual video until about 1 minute and 15 seconds into it. But I felt a lot of people who didn't know Six Feet Under might want to watch my video and that scene really sets up the video really well. Also, people who know the show still might not mind a refresher on what the scene is. So a video vmars77 made (this is posted as a video resposne to it) introduced me to this amazing a moving song that has a backstory behind it. The backstory is a boy who's girlfriend has to get an abortion, and it's a very sad thing. It's not supposed to be a political standpoint on abortion, simply a song about the very sad emotions involved for both parties... see for yourself in the Wikipedia article on it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brick_(song) So I couldn't match all of the lyrics, but I tried to match the mood throughout and match lyrics when I could while still telling the story in semi-chronological order. From when Russell and Claire first fall in love, to when Claire finds out that Russell fooled around with Olivier, through when Claire decides to have an abortion and doesn't tell anyone except for Brenda. When she sees her niece, Maya, it reminds her of her abortion, and when she confronts her imagination of the afterlife and sees her aborted baby, she comes to terms with the fact that Lisa will take care of him and she'll take care of Maya, Lisa's baby (Lisa is Claire's aunt that died). And I made the video transition to color at the end to show that by the end of it all, Claire has come to terms with what happened and is no longer truly sad about it! She is happy again to dance with her niece Maya. And then I faded out to white o mimic all of the fades in Six Feet Under... ;) I hope you guys enjoy it! If you can't understand audio here or there, let me know. I'll tell you what the voiceover(s) said. And by the way I'm using DVD Shrink to rip my DVDs and I'm getting subtitles that I don't know how to remove them, so I've just been zooming in on every clip - so if anyone can help me figure out another way to rip my DVDs for free without getting subtitles, please let me know!! Rev Donald Spitz interviewed by CNN immediately after Paul Hill was executed by the state of Florida. Donald Spitz was Paul Hill's spiritual advisor during the last week of his life and with him the day he was executed and while he died. Paul Hill was unjustly put to death.
