Lizzy McChesney, better known by the stage name Lissy Trullie, is an American singer and former model. She also performs with her band named Lissy Trullie, and released her debut EP, ‘Self-Taught Learner’, in February 2009. Trullie was born in Washington, D.C. and moved to New York City at the age of 16 with her mother. She attended Walnut Hill School, a boarding school in Natick, Massachusetts with a focus on performing arts, and then attended Parsons in Greenwich Village, New York City, where she studied graphic design. Trullie performed at art openings, but soon gravitated towards the downtown rock scene. Trullie spent time working as a model, a dishwasher, a janitor, and a disc jockey at the Beatrice Inn. She has appeared in the fashion magazines Elle, SOMA, and Jalouse, and was the face of actress Chloë Sevigny’s clothing line. Trullie released her debut EP, Self-Taught Learner, in February 2009 on American Myth Recordings, whose cover features a woman’s posterior clad in hot pants, taken from a 1970s pornographic magazine. She has signed with the record label Wichita Recordings, which will release her EP in Europe. Trullie performs with a four piece rock band, also named Lissy Trullie, which includes Trullie on vocals and guitar, Josh Elrod on drums, Eben D’Amico, formerly bassist with Saves the Day, on lead guitar, and Ian Fenger on bass. The group often performs a cover song in their live sets, including Biz Markie’s “Just a Friend”, Hot Chip’s “Ready for the Floor”, which is included on their debut EP, and Amy Winehouse’s “Rehab”. Phil Fraley Productions in Paterson is an exhibit fabrication company comprised of artists, sculptors and engineers working primarily with dinosaur fossils. Founder Phil Fraley has 25 years of experience producing natural history museum exhibits, including projects at the Carnegie Museum of Natural History in Pittsburgh, the Field Museum in Chicago, and the American Museum of Natural History in New York City. In 1990, Phil accepted a position working on the American Museum of Natural History?s $45 million Fossil Halls renovation project. The team of fabricators is best known for innovative fossil mounts, but their experience encompasses every phase of exhibit production including project management, planning, design, fabrication, and installation. Although we should be doing Black Box Theater NYC today, we caught the 22Leroy band in the East Village Monday night at Fontana s Bar with Wes Shippee on keyboard/lead vocals and we just had to share the experience with you. 22Leroy self describes their genre as Rock-Pop-Alternative and we agree adding only very cool and very clean cut.While our assessment of clean cut could be the death of many bands playing bars in the Village, their high energy and high spirited style was surprisingly refreshing. You could actually feel safe letting your seventeen year old daughter see the show; I know this for a fact since my kid came along with me to check them out. Not to be misleading, I must say the women over 21 did all they could to deflower the group s innocents with alcohol induced shouts of I ll love you and take your shirt for me please , but they held their composure and simply let the music answer their fans request.I could write volumes about this really cool band, but I won t waste the copy and let you see for yourselves. .
