Here is my modest collection of Colecovision and Atari 2600 games. The Atari 2600 adapter enables Colecvision users to play Atari games on their Coleco Vision console. This is a recording of a prototype demo found on an unlabeled Atari 2600 cart, recently bought at the gift counter at a Greyhound bus station in Carson City. Rumor has it that in 1987, Atari's Sunnyvale engineers huddled together and devised a solution to the crisis facing the company, the onslaught of Nintendo and Sega. The engineers hailed the outcome as "20 Years Ahead of Its Time". Unfortunately, the marketing division also felt that it was twenty years ahead of its time, so this project never saw the light of day. But now, it's available for the world to see and share and wonder what might have happened, had they been able to finish and release this phenomenal game. Returning in 2008 with new episodes, Classic Game Room breaks out a review of RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK for the Atari 2600 video game system. This game is based on INDIANA JONES and the RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK movie. Directed by Steven Spielberg, Starring Harrison Ford and written by George Lucas, Frank Marshall and Howard Kazanjian. Sadly this game has practically nothing to do with the movie! You play Indy on a quest to find the lost ark of the covenant. This adventure early old school RPG style game required abstract logic to complete. CGRHD was confused and sent into a quantum flux with this concept. The Indiana Jones series continues on with INDIANA JONES and the TEMPLE OF DOOM and INDIANA JONES and the LAST CRUSADE. There's a new one coming out this summer called Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. There are reports of new Indiana Jones video games in development.
