Et notre t moin improvis , projet quelques secondes cinquante ans en arri re, lors de ses d buts dans ce laboratoire radiophonique, a rapidement pr f r se souvenir qu'il reluquait r guli rement Jeanne Moreau qui habitait en face des locaux du Club d'Essai, situ au 37, rue de l'Universit , Paris 7e.n nOn ne se souvient certes pas de Pierre Schaeffer (1910-1995) pour sa tendresse. Mais pour ses multiples activit s de chercheur tous azimuts et au sens large : fondateur du Studio d'Essai, devenu Club d'Essai de la Radiodiffusion en 1946, formateur, inventeur de la musique concr te, th oricien, orateur, patron du Service de la recherche de l'ORTF, archiviste, hommes de groupes... n nQuelqu'un a voulu ordonner cette biographie clat e : Jocelyne Tournet-Lammer, ancienne du Service de la recherche, publie Sur les traces de Pierre Schaeffer ( d. La Documentation fran aise). Son livre, passionnant pour qui s'int resse aux origines d'une certaine radio et la pr histoire du multim dia, est d'abord constitu de notices d crivant les pi ces relatives Pierre Schaeffer conserv es l'INA : papiers, livres, documents sonores, documents image, oeuvres musicales... Un pyramide schaefferienne rendant compte de ses cr ations et interventions depuis 1942 (cr ation du Studio d'Essai) 1995.n nDans ce catalogue raisonn (qui se lit de mani re agr able, bien qu'assez frustrante : on veut souvent couter, voir et lire ce dont il est question !), on est frapp par le nombre de compte-rendus et d'enregistrements de s minaires anim s par Schaeffer. Je ne refuse jamais une exp rience de communication , disait celui qu'on a parfois qualifi de gourou. Lui-m me avait t s duit par l' sot risme sectaire d'un Gurdjieff. Mais on prend plaisir, surtout, la lecture des t moignages d'anciens collaborateurs ou proches de Schaeffer aux diff rentes poques de sa vie professionnelle, qui pars ment le livre. Ing nieurs, cr ateurs, gens d'organisation : il savait s'en saisir au d but de leur vie professionnelle et les r v ler eux-m mes (avant, parfois, la rupture brutale). n nUne ancienne collaboratrice crit : Pierre Schaeffer ne veut, dirait-on, rien choisir, rien sacrifier, rien diff rer. C'est au moment pr cis o il est en train d' crire que la nostalgie de la musique l'envahit, au moment o il est en studio qu'il regrette le temps vol l' criture, au moment o il est totalement requis par une de ses entreprises collectives que s'affirme, aigu, douloureux, le besoin d' tre seul, libre de cr er sa guise . Metro North Train 1946, the 5:54 PM shuttle to Waterbury departs north from Bridgeport Station. Today's consist is a pair of back to back Fl9M's, 2016 facing north on the point and 2027 as the trailing engine, and two coaches, Shoreline II 6442 and Shoreline I cab car 6101 (Storm King) facing south. I apologize for the crappy view, as there was no light pole where I was standing at the north end of the platform. The video was more or less just to hear the revving sound of the FL9's 567C. The video was taken on January 7th, 2008.
