Margaret almost cancelled the show this week as the Weekly Blend plague continues, but Rafe wanted to talk about I Am Legend so much that the show had to go on. Tim and Rafe discuss Will Smith's epic and what a good box-office opening looks like, along with a ton of new releases next week, news on the new James Bond movie, why Rafe things Justice League isn't happening, and the usual banter of ridiculousness.

We're back after our disease-laden hiatus last week, or at least most of us are. We catch up with reviews of Enchanted and Awake, as well as discuss the disaster that is The Golden Compass. Of course, no news coverage can be complete these days without an update on the writer's strike, and we spend at least five minutes on geek news that has Margaret rolling her eyes.

The writer's strike is under way, and while they have our support, we try to spend less time talking about the strike than everyone else. Our talk does touch on the fallout that's already occurring from the strike, including some shows we like being shelved indefinitely. Rather than focus soley on the strike, we look at some rumors floating around this week on projects that won't be coming to fruition.

Rafe's been out of town and everyone is feeling lethargic, so this week starts out as the Easy Listening edition. That laid back vibe quickly goes out the window, however, as we get a chance to riff on the Saw franchise, the writer's strike, Eli Roth's experimental Trailer Trash, the new direction for Spider-Man, and new G.I. Joe news, among other stories - not bad for a low-key week.
