The long defunct Onondaga Dragway in Onondaga MI. has been resurrected by a small group of enthusiasts for eighth mile racing on a limited scale. The first vehicle in Ford's electrification strategy is the Transit Connect van, which goes on sale in the USA in 2010. As part of the strategy, Ford has partnered with Smith Electric vehicles - who are based in the UK, and who have a long history of making electric vehicles and converting regular vans and trucks to battery power.
