construction for nearly three years, and will officially open on April 12th, 2010. Minot native, Eric Brekke is Accounting Manager for Mortenson Construction- the company in charge of building the stadium. Today, he spoke to members of Minot's Kiwanis Club about the massive new structure. He says there are many supporters of Twins baseball throughout the region, and even if you're not a fan, he believes Target Field can still provide a lot of excitement. (Eric Brekke, Mortenson Construction) "Everybody's going to be pleasantly surprised at this project. This ballpark is high-quality and it's just going to be great to have baseball outdoors again and it's really going to impress a lot of people." Brekke has been a part of the project since it began in May of 2007.
