us how the work is going. These Honkers will have a little something new to look at when they make this flight next fall... (Gary Williams - Audubon National Wildlife Refuge) "Boy I haven't been down here in a few days and they are making a lot of progress." And we'll soon have a new complex to watch them from...Gary Williams gets a pretty big smile on his face as he sees this new home for the refuge rise on the prairie. It will house offices, a bookstore and an exhibit hall...and that is just inside... (Gary Williams - Audubon National Wildlife Refuge) "And the viewing patio will be right where we are standing so you can view Lake Audubon and the wetland areas and the owl site here... Construction is flying along... (Gary Williams - Audubon National Wildlife Refuge) "They are talking right around Thanksgiving they should be totally enclosed so they can do interior work all winter." That is because pre-fabricated walls are being used. Insulation is built right in and the pieces are custom made and put together like a jigsaw puzzle... (Gary Williams - Audubon National Wildlife Refuge) "Really makes construction quick." It will be energy efficient too. (Gary Williams - Audubon National Wildlife Refuge) "There is going to be 47 wells drilled here and this is actually the parking lot so it will be right under the parking lot." Those geothermal wells will provide the heating and the cooling digging 100 feet into the soil...Its a state-of-the-art facility to give you a new place to do something that's been happening forever - watching wildlife...
