Never were more prophetic or pathetic words spoken.

Bushes presidency is not over yet, but I think history may will view this period as a series of unmitigated failures.

-no weapons of mass destruction found

-no relationship found between iraq & 9/11

-no mission accomplished

-no democracy in iraq

-complete breakdown and failure of infrastructure in new orleans and more importantly a complete failure to respond... "brownie is our man"... brownie is NOT our man.

-widespread corporate scandal and white color crime, enron, worldcom, and on and on...

-widespread undermining of political process by special interest money, and lobbying scandals

-widespread dumping of retiree's pension funds by american businesses on the american tax payers... a direct frontal assault on the social contract with america

-record top level executive pay increases

-record profits in big oil, halliburton, and other companies and industries tied directly to the president

-senatorial misconduct underscores moral and ethical failures of this regime

There are a few exceptions.

-osama bin laden - *alegedly* dead, or not.. so... I guess that doesn't count.

-but... sadam sentenced to death by hanging... while iraq has been largely a failure, we can take solace in this

-That the Democrats are now the majority in both houses is now an overwhelming "referendum" against this administration.

Funny thing is was just watching John McCain on Meet the Press and while he said the elections were a referendum... he didn't mention a single one of these points.
