Ebert. Roeper. St. Judgefeld? from Schadenfreude. on July 23, 2008 57 views / likes
In the recent news of At the Movies going the Disney way, and getting rid of the veteran critic Ebert in the process (and Roeper) (and everything else that made this the perfect Chicago show) - we thought it about time that we let everyone remember Schadenfreude s critic - Jonathan St. Judgefeld. In this clip, from the episode entitled Delay (in which flights at an airport are Delayed) - Judgefeld is sequestered into one of those hidden rooms by Homeland Security and tries to explain his way out of it [See post to watch Flash video]

PBR Tour: Even in Blackouts from Schadenfreude. on April 29, 2008 66 views / likes
Saturday night will mark the first time since 2003 that we were able to actually book Even in Blackouts. We ve gone around and around trying to get this kick-ass acoustic punk band to play with us and it just never worked out. They did the theme song for our Chicago Public Radio program and they don t sit still, touring all over the world non-stop. The band is led by John Pierson, also known as Jughead from the band Screeching Weasel. This will be an awesome night and we can t wait to introduce them. Here s the short version of the Schad theme song from way back. Don t accidentally turn off your radio

Yes. This exists. Yes. God exists. from Schadenfreude. on April 02, 2008 93 views / likes
Ted Knight might be the funniest man of all time, nothing, except maybe Robert Stack in Airplane!, makes me laugh quite like Ted Knight. I watched Caddyshack for many years just watching Chevy and Bill, and then one day I just watched Ted Knight, what a genius. The twelve emotional switches he goes through when reprimanding Danny put me on the floor. But enough fondling, I just found this amazing piece of media. It turns out the genius cut an album, many of the songs sung in signature Meanwhile at the Hall of Justice voice. Why oh why did he go so early?

A little Opening Day fun! from Schadenfreude. on March 31, 2008 60 views / likes
In celebration of the Cubs beginning yet another march to watching the playoffs on their plasma s here s a little clip from Schadenfreude Radio. The experience of watching a Cubs game and a Sox game are linked by a rain delay. This clip contains most of my favorite jokes from Schadenfreude Radio, they re all right here in a row and keep an ear open for a special appearance by Todd Voorhies! Go Cubs! (why not).

CTA Improves Customer Service? Right. from Schadenfreude. on March 30, 2008 48 views / likes
We did this sketch for our radio show in 2003. Seriously, that was 5 years ago and the El is still a piece of crap. This comes from the news that they are going to one track for both trains for the summer. This is specifically about EL operator communication. Easy breezy.

3 phones. 2 cars. 1 unsuspecting morning radio show. Schadenfreude has a little bit of fun at the expense of a morning radio show on their way to Macalester College in Northfield, MN.
