For my Mom :: Food as Currency from Vidlicious! on June 30, 2008 39 views / likes
Makes me cry. Experimenting with iMovie's export for iTunes. No frills. It copied the file into the iTunes directory as well as left a copy in the movies folder. Not too bad. Unfamiliar with whether the m4v format will play for my subscribers, be transcoded by Blip to flash, or flow down the RSS feed. Here goes nuthin'.Formats available: MPEG-4 Video (protected) (.m4v), Flash Video (.flv)Tags: faux_press, family, cooking, currency, blindness, aging

Grace :: The Story of the Remote :: Dirty Joke from Vidlicious! on March 27, 2008 108 views / likes
.:. Faux Press | Vidlicious .:. Learn to listen. Here's a telling of "The Story of the Remote". The image is from an earlier post wherein I show you part of the woman who speaks in this podcast The upside of the dismal-looking and feeling foot situation is that she has a better way to flip her husband the bird. She is my hero. Her humor in the face of enormous pain astonishes and inspires. Music is "Mother's Blues" from Jeff Kelley's Classic Acoustic Blues album - about whom I've written in this space before. Dutch Apple Pancakes :: Cookin' for One from Vidlicious! on January 28, 2008 129 views / likes
.:. Faux Press | Vidlicious .:. Cooking for one doesn t have to suck. No indeed. I used gala apples for the recipe shown; nicely sweet and soft after baking. The original recipe calls for one to peel the apples. I don t. For the nutrition and color. This is great for lunch right out of the oven - hot - and served in a bowl with a little milk. The next day it s great - again warmed - for 10 minutes @ 300° in the toaster oven. Just enough to take the chill off and crisp the sugar-glazed crust . Preheat oven to 400° 3 Grannie Smith Apples - cored sliced thin, are sautéed 5 minutes over medium high heat in ovenproof pan with: 2T butter 1/4 C sugar 1 t. cinnamon Mix together to create lovely batter consistency: 3 eggs 1/2C milk 1/2C flour 1 T. sour cream 1/4 t. salt 1 t. grated lemon zest Bake 25 minutes for golden-brown goodness that makes the house smell like home.Mucic: Makin Pies from Pattry Griffin s 1000 Kisses album. Mash-Up of Trash and Text in Art from Vidlicious! on January 13, 2008 126 views / likes
Just a little bit of inspiration I found at the Armory Center for the Arts. This is a mash-up of two different exhibits. One was an exhibit of trash to art created by high school students and the other was an incorporation of words and text into static and visual art pieces. Technorati Tags: vidlicious Creativity

Mena Trott At TED 2006 from Vidlicious! on December 06, 2007 204 views / likes
We are all running around doing, doing and trying to make the invisible real. We rank and catalog what is and is not important. Worse, others who barely understand us rank and dispose of what they do not understand. In this 2006 TED Talk Mena Trott makes the case that blogs and bloggers are a valid and essential part of the storytelling tradition. Mena is one of the founders of Six Apart. Hound Dog Serenade from Vidlicious! on September 29, 2007 231 views / likes
I could go into a list of excuses for why I've fallen off the vlogging wagon - or I could just post something... When you've been writing code and trying to figure out IIS servers for way too many hours, it's nice to take a break. My lady love made oatmeal cookies, I helped for a bit and then decided to serenade her, Hopey helped.

Art and Eros in Los Angeles from Vidlicious! on June 25, 2007 375 views / likes
Windows Media Video Version QuickTime Video Version It was like any gallery show. Some good, some base level art work and a couple of exceptional pieces. They had to be, they cost at least $4,500 and up. The piece that I like the best was the white marble with the hips and thighs just like mine! The images are of an explicit nature. Seriously explicit. If you have trouble with naked fruit of a human nature you aren't gonna like this. Absolutely not safe for work. Technorati Tags: vidlicious Art
