Pacific Noise is a video podcast about local music and art in San Francisco. Every other day we broadcast some part of the city's hidden art and music scene on the web. We want to amplify the potential of the mythical local community in sf. concerts, art shows, places unknown, bars and clubs, performance, points of interest etc. Are you involved in a band, a gallery, a performance space, or some other creative endeavor? This Friday they also celebrate a CD release and they will be playing with our pals Excuses for Skipping. The New Up are certainly up to a lot these days, in addition to their massive tour, they also have two more EPs in the works, and another tour for each one. The first EP of three, "Broken Machine" is being released just today. I got a copy, and the album cover is totally dada. i recommend it.

I believe that music, art, and the DIY culture are in opposition to all war by definition due to the creative nature of such endeavors, contrasted against the efforts of war which are purely destructive.
