High Speed Video Camera Clips from Revver blog on October 09, 2008 3 views / likes
Nobody captures kinetic motion better than Lunatim. High-Speed Video Camera Test Clips is the latest example of his pure genius. This video mesmerizes me, the slowed down audio makes for an unusual soundtrack that takes my brain on a mini vacation from reality as I sit and stare in a daze. I m left wondering how long this video must have taken Lunatim to set up. Were there mishaps and outtakes? I am utterly impressed by the beauty of this art form! Bravo Lunatim! You’ve done it again!

Here’s a great .. from Revver blog on October 07, 2008 0 views / likes
Here s a great looking short from Whitestone Motion Pictures. How come it looks so good? Brandon McCormick answers: There are over 70 shots for the three minute film, and with those, about an average of 10-15 takes for each of those, resulting in about 6 hours of footage in the can. Sure seems like a lot, but sometimes that’s what it takes to get it right. One of my goals as a filmmaker is to have no regrets. No sitting in the editing room saying ‘oh, I wish I shot that this way’, or ‘I wish we took a better take of that’. So the pain on set becomes the excitement in the editing room. For Awake, I have a lot of great stuff to work with, which makes editing less of a chore and more like a fun search for what will make the piece incredible.

Video of the Day: Sarah Palin Family Meeting from Revver blog on October 02, 2008 3 views / likes
It would totally suck to have a campaigning politician as a parent, regardless of party affiliation. Think about it - you have to be perfect. You have to pretend to be healthy and normal and hide things like drug addiction, out-of-wedlock babies, illegal fetishes and other quite mundane issues that normal people have. I, for one, couldn t deal - I d just smear the reputation of my campaigning parent (easy, trust) to get myself off the hook and get back to my normal, imperfect life. Video of the Day: John Rambo McCain vs. Obama Bin Laden from Revver blog on September 17, 2008 6 views / likes
WeRBopBop is always awesome, but it usually owes its wtf charm to lewdness and vulgarity. With this new video, these masters of raunchy bubblegum animation have added biting and hilarious political commentary to their repertoire. If you find presidential debates boring, this bop bop showdown is your next best bet. See more of WeRBopBOp over at BopBop Land, where you can make suggestions for future episodes (ex: have Disco Cool BopBop cut off all of Princess BopBop s hair and make a merkin out of it) and play all kinds of strange and offensive games.

Video of the Day: Swish - Revver Audition from Revver blog on September 16, 2008 3 views / likes
I try not to watch MTV or MTV2 or VH1 anymore, because if I do, I ll never be able to turn the TV off. Seriously, I ll just sit on my couch flipping back and forth between the three channels until my friends and family have a big intervention and send me off to some retreat in Malibu. The point is, I pretty much made it through the whole summer without any knowledge of what the big summer jams were or what dance the kids are doing on their webcams. As such, I invite you to make Swish the late summer jam of 2008. Join in: Record yourself doing the Swish! and send it to us for a chance to be featured in the upcoming Swish! music video. *Send your video to: swish@theoryiseverything.com Or upload it to Revver and send us the link. Tell us who you are, where you are, and we ll let the world know! If you can t send us a video, send us a picture of yourself Swishing it! Visit www.theoryiseverything.com for more information and complete rules and regulations.

Video of the Day: Edifice Wrecks from Revver blog on September 15, 2008 3 views / likes
Lunatim s kinetic art experiments have been getting more and more elaborate. His most recent video features toppling structures, new camera angles, music-making, high speed chases and more. All that careful work goes tumbling down in just a few minutes, giving new meaning to delayed gratification. If the post-collapse woo-hoo we hear at the end is any indication, it was all worth it.

Video of the Day: Jerry Saves an Old Guy from Revver blog on September 11, 2008 9 views / likes
Despite what the title may make you think, this video has nothing to do with John McCain. Sorry, cheap and lame humor is all I can muster today. See more from Moon County here.

Video of the Day: Chad VanGaalen - Molten Light from Revver blog on September 09, 2008 3 views / likes
This eerie, morbidly psychedelic video marks the release today of Soft Airplanes, Chad VanGaalen s third album with Sub Pop Records. If video and song are any indication, Soft Airplanes will contain more sweet, melancholy songs about life, death, and assorted otherworldly phenomena. That it s recorded on an old tape machine and a JVC ghetto blaster will surely add some new haunting sonic textures to the mix, always a good thing. Pre-order a limited edition of Soft Airplanes with bonus tracks here.

Video of the Day: L.E.D. from Revver blog on September 05, 2008 9 views / likes
I ve never understood the whole energy drink thing. Pounding ridiculously-named drinks and feeling really really energized (read: cracked-out) has always struck me as unnecessary - it seems like sleep, some food, and a little exercise should provide all the energy you need. But L.E.D. I get. Nothing like a good downer to help you cope. L.E.D. hasn t hit the market yet, but I m pretty sure good old-fashioned booze does the same thing. Video of the Day: Disaster Movie Review from Spill.com from Revver blog on September 04, 2008 9 views / likes
I don t want to highlight this specific video as much as I want to celebrate Spillcrew s entire catalog of movie reviews. I like these guys. I want to go watch movies with them and sit around and talk about them afterwards. And I wouldn t mind seeing myself animated either.

Video of the Day: The Ballad of Sarah Palin from Revver blog on September 02, 2008 12 views / likes
Things have gotten a bit more complicated since this song was written three or four days ago. This mother of five will soon be a grandmother of one, and I bet Mason Storm (be careful if you google that name. Apparently there s a Mason Storm porn star, too) would have liked to squeeze in one more verse for that little factoid. Part of me wants to say that it s none of our business, but in politics it seems like everything is everyone s business, so I guess we should have at it.

Video of the Day: Jet Pack vs Car from Revver blog on August 27, 2008 9 views / likes
From what I gather, there were two things going on in the 60s: the hippie movement and jet pack research. Hippies managed to live on through the present day in slightly different forms, but jet pack research halted altogether, and I m not really sure why. Maybe there was no practical use for them, but that didn t stop those ridiculously useless Segway things from hitting the mass market. Maybe if this internet thing doesn t catch on, it ll free up some time and we ll start looking seriously at the benefits of jet packs again.

Video of the Day: Brendan Hansen Anthem - “We Will Rise” by Skip-Dawg from Revver blog on August 19, 2008 18 views / likes
So Michael Phelps might be the greatest swimmer in history or whatever, but I highly doubt he has a rap song written for him. That s where Brendan Hansen one-ups him. The breaststroker from Pennsylvania is coming home from Beijing with a single gold medal, but he s also coming home with his own song playing on his iPod on repeat. Havertown, PA, what WHAT!
