Lauren and Andrew adjust to parenthood on the road as they make their way home from the comfortable Palm Springs hospital where their daughter was born.

Lauren casually dismisses Julie's pediatrician recommendation, prompting Julie to let Lauren know she feels her friendship and advice are undervalued.

To Lauren's great surprise, she's quickly adapts to the demands of motherhood. She's so good with the baby that she is reluctant to share any of the new caretaking responsibilities with Andrew: if she breaks her flow, will she lose her magic touch?

Lauren's sweet yet overbearing parents (Walter and Kay) fly into town to visit their newborn granddaughter. While Lauren braces herself to be patient and understanding, Andrew can already anticipate his father-in-law's controlling behavior.

When the baby has trouble sleeping, a very tired Lauren brings the baby to bed for a feeding. The next morning, Lauren and Andrew wake up in an accidental family bed.

When the gang spends a weekend at Julie and Eric's beach house rental, they learn lessons about keeping secrets and telling lies.

As Lauren settles comfortably into motherhood, she fears she may have less in common with the uber-single Cooper.

Lauren and Andrew welcome their baby into the world.
