Farewell Jenny

New video: There's Something About Jenny Click here to watch Music: 'On Top of You' by Trey Parker - Cannibal: The Musical Fare thee well Jennychan! This tribute is for you. Sadly I didn't have enough pictures or video of Shelby to make a tribute movie for her. I'm sure she must be really broken up about it too. My most humble of apologies. By the way, if you've never seen 'Cannibal: the Musical' then it might benefit you to know that the song used in this video is actually about a horse.

New movie: Deleted Scenes Click here to watch Music: Finally We Are No One - Mum This video is (as the title suggests) made up of scenes that were deleted from another video. Actually my 9th video blog was going to be something completely different from what you see here. The problem was that it was just getting way too long so I decided to split it in two. I chose to take the 'art faggy' approach with this one, but the next video (which should be out soon) will be quite different. This video is made up of footage I shot durring the JET recontractor's conference in Tokyo. Thanks to Jenny for the song! This is completely unrelated, but if you ever wanted to see Bob Sapp sliced in two with a samurai sword then click here.

New Video: I Want To Change My Life! Let's take a look back at last New Year's Eve shall we? Vlog #13: Japanese Policeman are Useless!
from on March 31, 2005

Click here to watch I've been procrastinating since August with this video, but finally it is done. This one takes a look at several of Aomori's famous summer festivals. The festivals are (in the order you see them in the video) Goshogawara's Tachi Nebuta (or Neputa, still not sure which it is), Aomori City's Nebuta parade featuring hopping JET teachers, Hirosaki's Neputa with big fan-shaped floats and finally the biggest, best and most famous festival of them all... Noheji's Gion Matsuri! This was a tough video to do just because I had so much footage, and it would have been really easy to make a long dull movie like the Nebuta DVD they advertise on TV all the time. Maybe it is just as boring, but you can be the judge of that. For those of you who have never seen a summer festival parade in Japan hopefully this video will give you a little taste of what you're missing out on.

New video: Hello Internet Nerds Click here (25 megs) Right off I just want to admit that I put very little effort into this video. It is made up entirely of old footage that was left over from previous videos. It's a mix of stuff that was poorly shot, was intended for something I never finished or didn't fit the other videos for some reason. Still I think it's fairly watchable and has lots of Jenny footage for you Jenny fans out there.

New video: Returning Home Click here to watch (41 megs) This video is a little different from the rest because it was created specifically for my students. The purpose is to introduce them to my friends and family back home in Canada. It's also kind of a chronicle of my trip back home a few weeks ago. Those of you with a good memory might notice a little reused footage from vidblog #8. This video features lots of Japanese subtitles thanks to the great translation work of my supervisor Kudo Sensei. Thanks Chieko!

New video: School Spirit S-size (11 megs) L-size (28 megs) As you may have noticed, this 'video blog' website has been quite lacking in actual videos for the past little while. I ment to finish this video about 4 months ago, but the combination of computer problems, vacations, my new PS2 and extreme laziness led to its delay. Actually I was starting to get a little bored with making these videos, so now that I've taken some time off I'm a little more engergized about making more. The next couple of videos are going to be focused more on specific themes. This one is about school festivals, and the next will likely be about Japanese summer festivals. After that maybe I'll go back to the drunken JET shenanigans, I don't know. Update: I've added the L-size now. Also since my school seems to be blocking ftp now, and since I never really used it anyway, I've decided to drop the Jamiecam and replace with Kate inspired Photoshoped images of myself.

Jamie vs. Iwaki-san

I got a new video for ya about my perilous ascent up Iwaki Mountain a few weekends ago. I was supposed to meet Hugh, Marc and Luke at the peak but they were late. They took some kind of stupid extra long way where you apparently walk to the top all the way from the bottom! That's just crazy! Now, click here to watch me conquer the mountain! In other news, my old buddy Albert at Trailervision has written an article for Now Magazine about a topic I posted about on here a few days ago.

Akiko Plays Steel Battalion

New movie: Akiko Plays Steel Battalion Click here to watch Attention Akiko fans! Here's the second video in the Akiko plays video games series. You may remember part 1 when Akiko tried her hands (or feet I suppose) at Dance Dance Revolution, and didn't fair so well. Akiko decided girly games weren't for her and decided to give a hard core 'otaku' game a try, namely the very complicated and expensive mech game 'Steel Battalion'. When the game first came out, the controller alone cost more than the Xbox console it runs on. So how did she do? Watch the movie and see!

New video: Change the Channel L-size (42 megs) S-size (17 megs) This video was made from I don't know how many hours of footage, and includes all sorts of random stuff I shot over the last 2 months or so. It starts in a spooky Tokyo restaurant, part of the "Alacatraz" chain of prison theme restaurants. My first ever video on the site was shot at Ghost Town in Hirosaki, an almost identical restaurant, except at Ghost Town the waiters don't pull customers out of their cages and sexually assault them with vibrating, flashing dildos. The rest of the movie bounces between Tokyo and Aomori and includes such things as my trip to Oman Falls, drinking in Onoe & Kuroishi, the Tsugaru-ben taikai and much, much more.
