It looks like Cloverfield and Diary of the Dead were only the beginning of our Point-of-View horror movies bringing back the glory days of the Blair Witch Project, because now this remake of a 2007 Spanish indie film [REC], is giving us more jostling, cameraman-loving, visceral reality scares. It's hard to say anything bad about any Zombie movie, since the genre runs the gamut from the brilliantly topical to the terribly stupid, and every film has at least one person out there to love it. Having said that, this seems like a cool premise for a movie on its own, so if we can stomach another ride on the cameraman's back, this could be a good one! ~Matt + Nat

It's been 10 years since the last X-Files movie, and more than 5 since it was on TV, but when Mulder and Scully hit the big screen on opening weekend in July 2008, less than one third of the fans from 1998 were there. So does anyone still care?

Matt's been a fan of Batman the Animated series since he was 12 years old, so when Kevin Conroy returns to voice the Dark Knight, there is reason to rejoice. Even if Christian Bale hadn't sounded like a death metal singer under the cowl. Nat's always up for more Batman, and we both have quite a bit to say on both sides of this Six-Part addition to Nolan's Batman.

Matt and Nat got a lot more movie than they bargained for with Tropic Thunder, and after seeing, wished there had been a preview. So we jammed as much PREVIEW into this REVIEW as possible! But if you haven't seen it, yet, don't watch all the way through. Tropic Thunder has too many fun surprises to ruin it all here!

Eddie did a Q and LONG. So we ll break it up into 3 parts for ease of digestion... Eddie goes into directing, including the new movie, we hear a bit about the 5th Cylon and the direction of the show from day one.

Matt and Nat came in with the bar set REALLY low for Clone Wars, and we were pleasantly surprised by this hot little tv-series-turned-theatrical-film! Sure have a few points of contention, but all and all it's the best Star Wars movie in 10 years!

With George Lucas doing what he does best and then taking a back seat while everyone else makes the movie, this could very well be the first good Star Wars movie since 1980. Sure it's CG... but so were all the best parts of the prequel trilogy anyway!We've got some great looking scenes, as well as interviews with Lucas and the Director of Clone Wars, Dave Filoni.

Matt and Nat have minimal qualms with this sequel, and considering the change of ownership for the production companies, we're thankful we got the movie at all! Guillermo del Toro blows us away, as usual, with his amazing imagination, distinctive creative signature, and all-around bad-ass vibe with HellBoy 2. We didn't have time for a preview, but we jammed some sweet scenes into this review to entice you incase you haven't seen it yet! ~Matt + Nat

Matt and Nat both got more than they bargained for with Hancock. Whether that's because they set the bar low, or Hancock's terrible ad campaigns just didn't give the movie enough credit, or Will Smith's charm just wins every time, who knows? But it was worth the watch, and there's more story to this film than you probably think. And it's a good one.

Matt and Nat both got a kick out of Wanted, though it didn't quite live up to the expectations set by some of the rumours... or set by the first 10 minutes of the film. But it's a great ride that's definitely worth seeing -- if you've already seen Dark Knight that is.But if you hit the snack bar, make sure to bring back something for Angelina. She looks like she could use the meal. ~Matt + Nat

Christopher Nolan and Christian Bale had a hell of a task in front of them to top Batman Begins, and with the addition of Heath Ledger and Aaron Eckhart it certainly sounded like the team was in place. But Matt and Nat think it missed the mark a bit, and didn't quite live up to what it could have been. The major shortfall? Batman himself.

Sweet Zombie Jesus. Zack Snyder looks to have worked his visual magic on yet another epic comicbook. Scratch that. THE Epic Comicbook. If you 're not familiar with the Watchmen this just looks like a pretty nifty trailer, but if you've read the book, you're probably still picking your jaw up off the floor.

We got completely blindsided yesterday with a preview of what the Graystone and Adams families have in-store for BSG fans and it looks like a serious departure from the military drama we re all used to, but the moral and ethical dilemmas abound! We're pretty excited for Nolan's second crack at bat... *ba-doom crash* and the addition of Heath and Aaron as well as the replacement of Mrs. Tom Cruise with Maggie Gyllenhaal are all on the side of awesome.But will it stand up to Iron Man? The cast and crew are all pretty excited, and these scenes give us a pretty amazing glimpse at what's in store for us!~Matt + Nat

Matt and Nat weren't really expecting much form this, mostly because the ads were pretty lacklustre... if you even saw them. Between an ad campaign that seemed confused from day one and the fact that the source material is actually just too old to have been raised on ourselves, we didn't jump on this one right away, but it sure was a fun ride once we did. For this week s BSGcast, we find ourselves in Houston, Texas, away from the usual studio and bringing you a special BSGcast from the comfort of the hotel room as we chat about how the Hub managed to make the lines between Human and Cylon even more blurred. After a week of fretting over the fate of Baltar and Roslin, we re getting to see the flip-side of last week s episode the battle of the Resurrection Hub was glorious, but the character beats in The Hub were definitely the highlight. Have you seen Kingdom of the Crystal Skull yet? Without which not indeed, Ron.... after skipping a Friday for Memorial Day, we are treated to a VERY contravercial episode. We've heard someone say it came close to Woman King as his least favourite episode. Ouch. Matt loved it, Nat not so much, but what about you?

We have to wait TWO WEEKS to find out what happens after JUMP! ? Whose idea was Memorial Day anyway? What the hell Ron that was amazing. With 18 years between Last Crusade and Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, there is some apprehension from die-hard Indy fans on this one... but after seeing what the Big Three have to say about this installment, we're pretty sold. What are your thoughts on this one? A long overdue chapter in the Indy series? Or a tacked-on cash grab happening too late to be good for a classic franchise? We ve been talking about it in the comments of the Preview on YourGeekNews.com for a while, but Matt + Nat chime in with their Review of Iron Man. Matt is convinced this is the new yardstrick to which every comic movie must be measured, and Nat just can t get enough of Robert Downey Jr. s Performance as Tony Stark. All in all, it seems like Jon Favreau s Iron Man managed to serve many masters but let s break it all down What did you think? With some serious pressure to be a blockbuster, Marvel has all the makings of a winner as their first at bat as a production company.
