SHOWNOTES - http://terrania.us/libnotes/ Remember Robotech? This podcast is about the seminal American anime mecha experience, the anime, games, and other spinoffs related to it, and the Internet fandom that grew up around it. I will try to have guests with interesting things to say about that fandom, but chatters who remember the show (or are curious about the show) are welcome to join right in!

Attack of the Impromptu Show, Part 1 from Space Station Liberty on April 23, 2008 60 views / likes
Since I didn't get to do a show last weekend, and Charles Phipps was nagging me about doing another one, I decided to do one now and see how many people showed up. We began with a discussion of the announcement of Shadow Chronicles coming to BluRay, then I talked with Charles about his introduction to Robotech fandom, and Shadow Chronicles. After a while, Tommy Yune showed up, and Mantino called in, and we had more of a discussion. In the second half of the show, I take 20 minutes or so to talk about my newest animated object of affection, Avatar: The Last Airbender. Avatar is a gorgeously-realized series that compares very favorably to Robotech. Then the Robotech talk resumes for the rest of the hour.

New Saturday Timeslot from Space Station Liberty on April 12, 2008 72 views / likes
I'm going to try running the show in a Saturday afternoon timeslot for a while, so I will not be directly competing with Battlestar Galactica and so that it will give European Robotech fans more of a chance to get in on the show. Up for discussion today: more on the RPG, and whatever else comes to mind.

Continuing from the previous show, this episode features a bunch of fans talking about Robotech. It starts out as these fans attempt to supply advice to a new gamer, who had just gotten the Shadow Chronicles RPG but never actually done much roleplaying before, and continues into matters of the Southern Cross and New Generation, such as just what the heck is really in HBT canisters.

One Evening of the Condor Battloid, Part 1 from Space Station Liberty on February 22, 2008 90 views / likes
Why is the Condor no longer a Veritech in the forthcoming new Robotech RPG? In the first half hour of the show, I, Brooklyn Red Leg, Roger Harkavy, and Presley Cannady kick the question arround. In the second half hour, we are joined by Tommy Yune for the Harmony Gold take on the matter, as well as other questions including the end of the writer's strike and Shadow Chronicles' eventual high-definition DVD release. In the third half-hour, we discuss Tommy's answers and other random Robotech-related matters.
