My latest 54 Hour Film Project movie coincided with the weekend I was supposed to make some shorts for a youtube-like site in the hopes of getting a job making original content for them. A friend that works there thought it would help me get a job if I made videos specifically for the site. Since this site isn't youtube, they get people to create content by having contests, so I made a few videos corresponding to the contests. One was to re-do an urban legend; another was to show characters on the Sopranos saying things they'd never normally say; the last was something about what would you do if you were king. So that's why my film this month is five short vignettes (and all filmed and shot and edited within 54 hours...compression took forever though). I usually don't like playing character mash-up like I did in some of these, but those were the constraints of the contests, so you get to see my early-SNL-looking Tony Soprano. (think Chevy Chase as Gerald Ford).

A young boy finds a magical rock in the woods, and it solves all his problems...or does it?

My friend Eric and I made a comic for an anthology in Pittsburgh named Unicorn Mountain. Here, I recontextualize it and add some other media. The aesthetic is changed in a weird way. It's definitely more uncomprehensible, but it also gains some interesting facets. That sounds way more pretentious than I mean it to be.

I recently ran for the position of grad. representative, and came in second to my friend Danielle. This is the commercial that would have crushed her like a wasp being crushed by a larger wasp with 12 stingers. And the face of an ape. Ape-wasp 12! (coming this fall to Adult Swim)

In the vein of Derrida, the documentary that layed bare the machinations of the greatest post-Heideggarian philosopher, this too will reveal teh real Foucault.

Professor Whiskers had a seizure this week. After rushing him to the hospital, the source of the seizure was not discovered, but he was found to have a stage three heart murmur. This has the possibility of being controlled with a daily quarter-pill of atenolol.
