But to her dismay, Olivia has moved on after giving up hope that Alex would ever come back. (When a case had crossed state borders and led her to San Francisco, she joined forces with Detective Lindsay Boxer to aid in the Kiss-Me-Not-Killer investigation, which eventually brought the two closer together. Boxer moved to NYC and joined the SVU squad, and the rest became history....although unbeknownst to Alex while in hiding.) Alex struggles with the idea of Olivia being with someone other than her and is unable to avoid seeing the two together, and although Alex is the love of her life, Olivia cannot just put everything aside.
