July 25: After spending the day attacking his opponent’s position on Iraq, specifically the surge, Republican presidential candidate John McCain went on to agree with a 16-month timetable for withdrawal from Iraq based on conditions on the ground as a “pretty good idea.” That timetable happens to be the exact plan first laid out by his opponent, Barack Obama.
