To take part in weekend meetings with Iran's chief nuclear negotiator. There are no plans for William Burns to meet directly with Iran's negotiator ... But the mere presence of a Bush administration official appears to be a break in the United States' policy. The talks on Saturday will also include diplomats from Europe. They are aimed at halting Iranian activities that could lead to the development of atomic weapons. The U-S is part of a six-nation effort to get Iran to stop enriching and reprocessing uranium, however, Washington has shunned contacts with Tehran on the matter. Until recently the only contact between Washington and Tehran has been to discuss the security situation in Iraq. An administration official tells The Associated Press -- Saturday's meeting is a one-time event, and the diplomat will be there to listen, not negotiate.
