Canadian singer-songwriter Tim Barnes had "a blitzkrieg of ideas" when he set out to make his new CD, A Few Selfish Sketches. He wrote all the songs and recorded the entire album in just two weeks for the RPM Challenge and found his biggest hurdle was just making sense of all the sounds in his head. A Few Selfish Sketches is a cozy collection of lo-fi folk-pop songs, with Barnes playing all the instruments. It features the inspired opening track, "Badum."
