TED Prize Talk: Jose Antonio Abreu [The TrueTalk Blog]
Every year, three TED Prizes are awarded to individuals who will receive $100,000. That's the small part of the prize. The big part is that the award winners each make a wish which the TED community will try to make come true.
This year, Jose Antonio Abreu of Venezuela was granted a TED Prize for his work in developing El Sistema, a method for teaching music to children in Caracas. His story is an extraordinary one. The video of his TED Prize talk has just been released. It's a spectacular example of what one person can do with commitment and hard work.
Enjoy.
