Rachel Berger on climate change adaptation and the role of technology
Brussels, 13 February 2008. Speaking in the second panel of the Brussels Briefing on 'The climate challenge for ACP agriculture', Rachel Berger (Practical Action) presents the work her organisation is doing in developing technologies for local communities to adapt to climate change. In this activity, information sharing is a critical element. The involmenet of rural radio proved to be particularly successful i this regards. On a pilot basis, Practical Action has also started using podcasting and participatory video.
