(May 22)[Notes:ANCHOR VOICE] The Memorial Day holiday could be a big one for Republican presidential nominee John McCain. The Arizona Senator is expected to meet with several potential vice presidential candidates this coming weekend. Among McCain's guests: Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal, Florida Governor Charlie Crist and former presidential candidate Mitt Romney. The former Massachusetts governor was McCain's chief rival until dropping out of the Republican race back in Febuary. Senators Lindsey Graham and Joe Lieberman will also travel to Arizona for the long weekend. Despite the speculation about this weekend's meetings ... An aide to the republican nominee says they are purely social. It was a month ago that Senator McCain announced he was in the, qoute, embryonic stages of selecting a running mate for the fall campaign. McCain has not set a timetable of when he will finalize his running-mate decision. ___ ___, The Associated Press.(****END****) ANCHOR VOICE:-------------------------VIDEO PRODUCER: Kevin White------------------------------VIDEO SOURCE: File--------------------------VIDEO APPROVAL:------------------------------VIDEO RESTRICTIONS:----------------------------------SCRIPT/WIRE SOURCE:------------------------------------ Author: AssociatedPress Keywords: mccain vp meet candidates Added: May 22, 2008
