Coming from a small segregated town in the 1940s and 50s into New York was a cultural shock. I entered the fashion business and became the darling of the fashion editors. After several successful years I left the fashion business and enter the New York Cabaret Circuit, which had its ups and down. Then I was inspired again to open another fashion business where lots of celebrities bought my fashions and many award were bestored upon me. However I found it difficult to operate while undercapitalized and took a little time out to reflect on my future.Suddenly I found myself as a motivational speaker and then landed in the travel business as a travel and food writer and tour operator. Finally branching out as a producer and host of GlobeTrotter TV, which allowed me to travel around the world meeting lots of people who have inspired me. It's been a get up and go experience. The reader will be inspired to live out their dream and reach for the stars.
