It's an interview you don't want to miss: one of my all-time favorite hero sex educators Cory Silverberginterviews me (and hilariously, vice-versa) for Studio SXSWi. In the glass cube in front of a sizable audience -- and audio broadcast to the whole convention floor --

we talk, laugh and get serious about many urgent pertinent sexual topics we all face today as individuals online.
Sexual privacy (and especially personal privacy) is a huge point of conversation -- we examine how hard it is to maintain if someone is really out to harass, hurt and is out to get you. Also, we look at the right an individual has to privacy (we do have that right, hello corporations), and the fact that just because people have sex lives visible to the public (whether exhibitionistic, professional or simply by the mere fact of being a sexual minority such as LGBT or female) does not mean someone "deserves" to have their privacy violated, to be stalked or harassed, or that they are "asking for it". Cory and I talk about how sexually savvy kids are more hip to predators than adults are online, and how online safer sex should be part of every preventative/risk assessment sex ed curriculum. We discuss the continuum of sex and gender play that the internet's anonymity allows us to try out, as opposed to real life where sexual identity and gender are still physically dangerous to experiment with -- among many other fascinating topics.
And I'll add as a personal note that we all have a right to privacy as much as to free speech, and the two should not be confused should a stalker, harasser or cyberbully attempt to cloak character attacks, hate speech, privacy threats, and continuing harassing conduct against *anyone* and claim first amendment protections to garner free reign on targeting individuals for purposeful and ongoing attacks. This is the new direction of fighting for sexual privacy, folks -- which is at the core of individual privacy protections and rights, at least in this country. Oh, and did I mention that the video is really fun and funny? We even talk about twatwaffles. Enjoy... Thank you SXSWi.
